Biostimulatory fillers, on the other hand, are designed to stimulate collagen production in the long term and don’t deliver results as quickly as HA-based filler. They’re semipermanent and, therefore, better suited for patients with extensive volume loss. Sculptra<\/a> is a biostimulatory filler that’s frequently used to treat gaunt cheeks and hollow temples, but it’s also one of few products that can be safely injected into the buttocks<\/a>; Radiesse<\/a> is often used to add definition to bony areas of the face, restore skeletal hands, and smooth cellulite dimples on the buttocks and thighs; and Bellafill<\/a> has become the go-to biostimulatory filler for elevating depressed acne scars and deep smile lines, though it requires allergy testing before being injected, because it contains bovine collagen. <\/p>

Kylie Jenner<\/h2>

The beauty mogul has had one of the most public lip transformations, which she has credited to Los Angeles physician Dr. Simon Ourian<\/a>. Back in 2015, she opened up for the first time about her famous pout during an episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians<\/em>. “I have temporary lip fillers,” she revealed<\/a>. “It’s just an insecurity of mine, and it’s what I wanted to do.”<\/p>

In an interview with The New York Times<\/em><\/a> <\/em>that same year, Jenner revealed that Dr. Ourian had used Juvéderm fillers, which cost $750 on average<\/a>, to enhance her lips and praised his “natural” technique. “He’s the best, and he’s super natural about it,” she gushed. “I was going to somebody before, and it was just looking crazy.”<\/p>

Speaking to Access Hollywood<\/em> about his approach, Dr. Ourian noted<\/a>, “Over the period of time, Kylie used a lot more [syringes] because we had to go from a very small set of lips and slowly enhance it. It wasn’t just a one-time deal. It was a slow process.”<\/p>

In 2018, Jenner responded<\/a> to an Instagram comment that said she looked different by writing, “I got rid of all my filler.”<\/p>

Kim Zolciak-Biermann<\/h2>

The former Real Housewives of Atlanta <\/em>star has been an open book about her cosmetic surgery history. She shared that she had her lips filled again in February, following her announcement that she’d decided to have them dissolved because her lips appeared uneven. Zolciak-Biermann saw Atlanta-based physician Dr. Thuy Doan<\/a> for the procedure.<\/p>

“Had my lips dissolved and then Dr. Doan refilled them kind of to, like, make them perfect,” she said<\/a> via Instagram. “I really wanted them closer to my nose per se. I wanted, like, a little pout here in the center. And I really wanted my line to be defined.”<\/p>

Dr. Doan explained her technique to balance out the Bravo star’s lips and regain their original color: “As Kim mentioned before, her lips got to the point where [when] she smiled, less of her teeth [was] showing,” she shared<\/a>. “Due to the compounded previous fillers, she was losing color\/pigment in her lips. To reverse ALL this, it took multiple vials of reversal agent. I used my favorite softer medium filler on her and [daughter] Brielle [Biermann].”<\/p>
