It’s been six weeks since Amber Rose gave birth to her second son, Slash Electric, but she is already trying to get back to her prebaby body. “I’m about to get my whole body done after the baby,” the model said in a video<\/a> posted to her Instagram account. In the video, which shows Rose lying in a hospital bed right before surgery, she explains her procedures of choice and says that Dr. David Matlock<\/a>, a Los Angeles board-certified OB-GYN, will be performing her surgery.<\/p>

“He’s going to take out some of my jowls<\/a> that are just, like, hereditary—it just runs in my family, so he’s going to fix that—and then suck all the baby fat out of my stomach,” she said. “I’m super-excited.”<\/p>

In the video, Rose is assumably referring to liposuction<\/a> in her midsection, to remove excess fat, which is common for those undergoing a mommy makeover<\/a>. A mommy makeover surgery—which is usually done on women hoping to reshape their breasts<\/a> and midsection after giving birth—typically includes a tummy tuck<\/a> in addition to liposuction; but Rose did not mention if this was going to be part of her surgery.<\/p>

Rose has been open about her plastic surgery decisions in the past, especially her breast reduction in 2018<\/a>. However, fans were a bit torn when it came to whether they supported Rose’s decision to go under the knife this time around, with some criticizing her decision to get surgery so soon after giving birth.<\/p>

“Jeez u just had the baby give ur body a chance to heal,” one commenter wrote. “Love the transparency! Women need to know the SnapBack doesn’t happen immediately without a little help and it’s nothing wrong with that !!!,” another countered.<\/p>

According to multiple surgeons in a RealSelf Q&A<\/a>, it’s advised to wait a minimum of six months after giving birth before undergoing a mommy makeover. However, all bodies heal differently, so it’s best for those considering postpartum procedures to do their research and consult with a board-certified plastic surgeon to ensure the procedure can be done safely.<\/p>
