How It's Done
The RealSelf 2021 Most Worth It Ranking includes the 20 procedures RealSelf members gave the highest Worth It Ratings in 2021. Only ratings from RealSelf reviews written in 2021 have been counted.
The 2021 RealSelf Most Worth It Ranking is a comprehensive list of the year’s top-rated cosmetic procedures. This ranking recognizes the top 20 Most Worth It procedures of the past year, based on RealSelf members’ Worth It Ratings from reviews written in 2020.
The RealSelf Worth It Rating is a proprietary consumer satisfaction score from consumers on RealSelf who, after undergoing a procedure, have reviewed and rated it as "Worth It" or "Not Worth It." While consumers have the option to select "Not Sure," the RealSelf Worth It Rating is calculated using only "Worth It" and "Not Worth It" ratings.
Over time, members may change their Worth It Rating. When a "Not Sure" rating is changed to a "Worth It" or "Not Worth it" rating, it is included in the Worth It Rating algorithm.
A total of 20 procedures earned a Most Worth It designation for 2021. While Worth It Ratings in the 2021 Most Worth It Ranking are shown as rounded percentages, their rank within the list is determined by several decimal places.
To be recognized as a 2021 Most Worth It honoree, a procedure must meet the minimum review requirement of more than 50 reviews between January 1 and December 31, 2020, and have earned a cumulative Worth It Rating of 90% or higher during that period.
Eligibility Note: RealSelf reserves the right to disqualify brands from being recognized as a Most Worth It procedure if the medical or eligibility panel suspects and/or determines official company representatives or agents have attempted to influence reviews or ratings. This includes tampering with the process of collecting authentic, unbiased patient reviews as well as intentional or unintentional acts that violate the RealSelf Code of Conduct and/or Terms of Service. Exclusion from eligibility can be triggered by acts such as, but not limited to, representatives attempting to leave false reviews or coercing individuals to submit positive reviews, or other activities and/or events that call into question the safety of the procedure or negatively impact its reputation or affiliated company.
