Britney Spears Had Her Plastic Surgeon Make a House Call. This Is What She Got Done.

Britney Spears documented the two body-toning treatments, Forma and Emsculpt, that she treated herself to last week. Learn more.

Britney Spears has been a national fixture over the past year, since going public with her battle to end her conservatorship. Since regaining her personal and financial freedom, Spears has stressed the importance of self-care. The Princess of Pop regularly shares life affirmations, dance videos, and candids on her social media with her 38 million followers. In keeping with her positive outlook, 40-year-old Spears documented two body-toning treatments, Forma and Emsculpt, that she treated herself to, on her Instagram Stories.

Forma is a noninvasive treatment that uses radiofrequency energy and heat to build collagen and remodel skin and tissue using a subdermal heating applicator. The device is commonly used on the face and body to treat jowls, smile lines, neck folds, and sagging skin. The treatment has a 67% Worth It Rating and typically costs around $1,000. Forma treatment is painless, and the rod used automatically adjusts the temperature so it never gets too hot, meaning that there’s no danger of getting burned. Treatments generally last about 30 minutes. However, it can take up to three months to see optimal results once your body begins to develop collagen.

Spears opted for a house call with Dr. Gabriel Chiu, a board-certified plastic surgeon in Beverly Hills, California. She documented Dr. Chiu’s using the Forma applicator on her arms in her first clip as she sat upright. In the following clip, we see the singer lying down as she filmed herself with the Emsculpt applicator fastened to her stomach.

Like Forma, Emsculpt is a nonsurgical FDA-cleared device, only this procedure builds muscle and burns fat. It works by delivering high-intensity electromagnetic energy (HIFEM) pulses to the muscle tissue, creating contractions that activate more muscle fibers than can be engaged through traditional exercise. The result is tighter, more toned, and stronger muscle groups. The device works on everything from the abdomen and buttocks and the calves, arms, and thighs. Doctors generally recommend four sessions, spaced two to five days apart, and then maintenance sessions every six months or so.

Spears chose not to caption her Instagram stories but tagged Dr. Chiu in multiple clips. Just months since her conservatorship was ended, the mom of two seems to be happy and healthy. After everything Spears has been through, it’s great to see her take time for herself with some noninvasive cosmetic procedures.
