No person better embodies the phrase “make lemons out of lemonade” than Ariana Madix. After finding herself at the epicenter of the cheating scandal heard around the world (#scandoval), Madix parlayed the public’s support—and the fact that she was now a household name—into opportunities galore: a shoe line, a lead role on Broadway, a third-place finish on Dancing with the Stars, and, most recently, a hosting gig for Love Island USA. But, as is to be expected, with all of that increased exposure comes an increased interest in her appearance.
“Stunning injectables have entered the villa,” wrote Molly Bailey, PA-C, on an Instagram post assessing how Madix’s face has changed. Among her list of suspected procedures the reality star has had? Lip filler, Botox, jawline contouring with liposuction, and a blepharoplasty.
Madix was quick to respond in the comments section, noting that Bailey wasn’t entirely off base. “i’ll tell you what i’ve had! you’re partially correct. tox in 11’s, outer brow, and my neck. ellevate for my neck in 2019 by @theneckdoctor,” she wrote.
According to Dr. Azza Halim, a physician in Boca Raton, Florida, injecting Botox in the outer brow creates a subtle brow lift and a generally more youthful appearance. When used in the neck, it relaxes the platysmal bands that give the neck a cord-like appearance. “It also releases muscles in the lower face, ultimately creating the illusion of a smoother-looking neck and fewer jowls,” she says.
It’s likely that her neck and lower face may have been a pain point for Madix because the other treatment she copped to, MyEllevate, is a minimally invasive procedure that also targets the neck and jawline. “It lifts, tightens, and elevates neck skin and muscles using a light-guided system with permanent sutures,” Dr. Halim explains. Results include an overall enhancement of the lower face, neck, and jawline, she adds. It’s often paired with chin liposuction, although Madix said it was filler that she had in her chin as well as her lips. “Minimal lip filler bc my face is too small to handle very much and filler in my chin. absolutely no filler anywhere else and def no bleph yet ❤️❤️ hope this helps! i’ll keep yall posted if i do anything else,” she commented.
Bailey lauded Madix for her rebuttal. “Long live this transparent queen. She’s the first celeb to comment on a ‘What Have They Had?’ video to confirm her work and shout out her provider instead of denying everything and asking for it to be removed,” she wrote on Instagram.
