I had a neck list last year, had an infection the night I came home, called my dr. who dismisses my pain. I called his office three times in the following weeks but was dismissed by his office staff. The pain was unbearable and I landed in the hospital for a week on pain meds. A year later I am still in terrible pain, cant feel the left side of my face and feel like Im being choked all the time. Is there any dr who has seen this And can tell me there is hope that I will heal.
I had a face and necklift 18 months ago. The results are awesome for my plastic surgeon did a fantastic job. However, my right side of the neck is extremely numb all the way to back of my ear. I do have feeling for thank goodness its not paralyzed. I have scheduled an appointment with a neurologist to see whats going on. At this point I do believe I have permanent nerve damage. Can this numbness spread all over my face causing paralysis?
If have just found out it is too risky to have a facelift after parotis surgery because of the risk of damaging the facial nerve. I am devastated as I was hoping to do a MACS lift in the next few years. Would neck lift be an alternative? Or anything else you could recommend? Thank you very much for your time.
Had Kybella in 2017, 2 sessions. Was happy with results as skin was firm and taught now THREE years later my neck is suddenly floppy and lax. What can I do? Was done by board certified plastic surgeon. Am I a candidate for a neck lift/mini neck lift? Have read about damage that means you arent a candidate after Kybella as possible nerve damage? How would I know if this applies to me? Doctor who did it is suggesting neck threads, filler and if all else fails a fat transfer.
How common are the following during and after a neck lift procedure? 1. Damage to the nerves in one's face? 2. Accidentally hitting a undiagnosed growth that would cause problems during surgery? If this is possible, how would a surgeon proceed? 3. Blood pressure to raise during surgery or weird response to anesthesia (how would the doctor's respond if this happens?) 4. Elevated blood pressure after surgery due to pain and anxiety?
Had a neck lift and the muscles were moved in the back of my neck. Now my one shoulder is higher so arm is shorter, neck is wide, Im hunched over, shoulders bend in, I have difficulty walking because I cant stand straight and its painful. Been to several reconstruction surgeons and they wont touch my neck saying could have nerve damage but wont tell me what can be done to fix it. What can I do to fix this? Why would a dr do this? Everything he did to me is botched. Thank you for letting me vent lol
