I had a neck list last year, had an infection the night I came home, called my dr. who dismisses my pain. I called his office three times in the following weeks but was dismissed by his office staff. The pain was unbearable and I landed in the hospital for a week on pain meds. A year later I am still in terrible pain, cant feel the left side of my face and feel like Im being choked all the time. Is there any dr who has seen this And can tell me there is hope that I will heal.
It's red where the incision was made. It hurt but not too much (that area is pretty much) and yesterday I noticed a small hole and bloody water was coming out. Is this a sign of infection? Ive applied neosporin.
I noticed today that behind one of my ears, the skin where it has been cut and pulled is bright red like a steak, but only on one side and only near the incisions. Is this part of the bruise? Is this scar tissue? Or is this a sign of infection? I am completely freaking out! Please help!
My postop care includes taking antibiotic Keflex 4x daily starting a day after surgery. I suffer chronic bladder inflammation. Certain antibiotics cause extreme pain, damage to the point I may be unable to eat for months. I don't know how I'll react to Keflex, but if pain occurs I will need to stop immediately, perhaps after only 1 day. Will discuss with dr. but what is the real risk of infection? are there alternatives to antibiotics as a preventative measure for patients w/ sensitivities?
I get faint touching/looking at my scars but I have been applying Fucidin cream every day (at first 3 times a day, then 2) as instructed. I asked someone to take photos with my iPad today to see how they are getting on because they still seem sore. Photos are below. The right ear is worst, but the white area is not wet or sleepy, it is dry and sounds like a dry scab when touched with a cotton earbud. Are these signs of infection?
2 years plus after a liposuction necklift, and an infection under my chin in the incision and repair of same, I am suddenly developing these verticle bands that are very visible. What can I do. The surgeon seems reluctant to do anything.
I had a lower facelift and neck lift. My ears are swollen shut and ringing very loudly. I have red streaks going down from the side of my face all the way down my neck. My neck is knotty and all infected. My family doctor gave me antibiotics, but says it's not his place to treat complications for a facelift. . What kind of risk am I if I let it go out until at least reach the one year mark? Im so worn out from the pain and infection. I went to an ENT. he was no help. Thank you
