I would like to get it removed by cauterization but I do have some doubts since I know the skin around this area tends to be thinner (a little precision just for you know the skin around my eyelids is neither particularly thin nor thick and my mole is a little raised but really small). I heard cauterization on the eyelids is totally fine but I still wanted to ask another professional to be 100% sure). Thanks a lot for your answer!
This mole appreared on my eyelid when I was about 10 years old. I am now 33 and it's annoyingly large. It's doesn't affect my vision, however, my self confidence has taken quite a hit. I also have about 4 eyelashes growing out of it in different directions. I asked a dermatologist about 10 years ago if it could be removed and he said yes, but I would risk having ingrown eyelashes so I opted not to do it. Is this true, or can it be removed safely? And if so, who should I see about it?
I have a mole on my right upper eyelid. It lies in the eyelid right between the lashes. I have had it since I was a child, I am 26 now and it is bigger and somewhat noticeable. If I have it removed what scarring should I worry about since it is in the eyelash area, and would it be best to have an opthalmologist, plastic surgeon or dermatologist remove it?
