About a year ago I developed a mole by my eye, I never had one (was a very tiny dot) so it makes me very self conscious. A derm tried scraping but it came back so a Gen. practitioner tried cryotherapy. I really regret it now bc the mole came back and now the skin is discolored. Will it go away? Its been 5 months now, as a kid I had it done on my hand but deeply and it faded completely after 1 1/2 years. Is there any way to fix this? I really just wanted the mole off, or at least reduced to a dot.
I have a lot of skin tags all over my face and body (under my breast, neck, chest, abdominal & back). I had some removed with freezing method a couple years ago from my chest and neck. This left skin discoloration for a while. What can I do to avoid that especially in my facial area.
I had a mole removed about 3 months ago and I had taken pictures one week after and it had pigment left behind while it was healing. I got the call and told the mole was not cancerous so i put it off, now I am seeing pigment pop up and started freaking out if this is normal from a shave biopsy or it was possible melanoma. Here are the photos from a week after the biopsy and now.
I've heard baking soda, apple cider vinegar and a few other things can dry up the mole and make it fall off on it's own. My mole doesn't stick out, it's pretty much like a freckle and I'm not sure that'd work for me. I'm too scared to try it without knowing if it's true but it's obviously preferable to me over laser treatment or surgery.
I'm worried that the staining will be absorbed into the newly growing skin, side the wound is so deep. Also, he mentioned to me letting it dry out. From everything I've read, wounds should be kept moist to accelerate healing. Will I lock in the discoloration if I use ointment and dressings? Also, is this common practice...to use silver nitrate on cosmetic mole removal?! Will I scar worse? I fear I made a bad choice and am worse off. Any ideas how best to care for the wound?
I had a mole on my left upper lip shave removed about 7 years ago. For the first few years it was very light and almost blended into my skin. Recently it has become much darker and it is starting to bother me again (especially when people mistake it for dirt or marker since it flat against my skin). What is the method to lighten this scar or intradermal melanocytic nevus? I do not want to cut the mole out as it will ruin the shape of my lip (I was told it is very deep). Thank you for your help!
