I had my Miradry procedure 3 days ago and regarding the sweating, I am pretty satisfied with the results. However, now that the effects of anaesthesia are gone, I am really worried that my left brachial plexus is damaged, and particularly my left median nerve, since I have a persistent numbness (analgesia + paralysis) in my thumb (90% affected), forefinger (80%) and middle finger (50%). As you can imagine, that is extremely incapacitating in daily life. Will I ever recover? And when?
I received Miradry treatment in June 2017 at level 5. For the first few months, sweating was almost 90% reduced. Now (4 months later) I would say it's only about 50% reduced. The main concern I have is the numbness and tingling that runs down the left inside portion of my arm down to my elbow. I only have this on my left arm. My doctor told me that this would eventually go away. I'm worried that I have permanent nerve damage.
I have some nerve pain in the upper arm from the Miradry hitting a nerve two months ago. It only hurts when stretching the arm in the air. Is there anything i should avoid doing or do for it to heal better? Maybe avoid movement that make it hurt?
If someone had Miradry performed 3 days ago and still has some numbness in both pits. However, the inside of the left arm from the pit through to the bicep down to the inside of the forearm to the wrist...is still numb and has not gotten any better. What has gone wrong?
I had my first MiraDry procedure at a Level 2 just over two months ago. During the procedure there was one point of intense pain after which I my left arm was numb from elbow to wrist for a full two months following the procedure. Normal sensation has mostly returned at this point, though some areas still feel dull. Sweating has also returned to about 50% of what it used to be. Should I have a second procedure (if so how high should my level go?)...or would I risk permanent nerve damage?
