I have a hypertrophic scar next to my eyebrow for almost one year...it is dificult to feel the scar by touching, it is not hard...but in some lights is very noticible like there is a elevation in the form of a bean , and has a soft pink color...so I went to a doctor and he told me that microneedling with dermapen is the safer and more efective way to heal it....
So I got Liplift 2 years ago and my scar got flat only 6 months ago after using silicone sheets. It is very white and I thought that micro needling might help to renew blood circulation and rebuild the collagen. I would be very thankful if someone could help me how to deal with it..thank you !
Hello, I had a mini facelift on July 5 2022. The photo on the right is of the scar in Nov 2022. In Dec 2022 I did a microneedling treatment on the scar. Now, March 2023, the scar looks like the left photo. I'm curious if the microneedling caused overproduction of fibroblasts or collagen and created the hypertrophic scarring and/or if it'll recede since I'm now at 8 months and thought this is when it should actually be decreasing. Thank you for your time!
Hello, I have some hypertrophic breast lift scars that my derma PA recommend Microneedling for. However, my understanding was that MN was best for treating indented scars since it encourages collagen production. Parts of my scar were previously injected with steroid injections but they're still a little raised and textured. Would MN be beneficial in any way or potentially make them worse? Are there any lasers or other treatments recommended for my breast lift and areola scars? Thank you!
I have a hypertrophic scar on my arm that is about a year old. I used silicone sheets for approximately 3 months with very subtle improvement. I've read that it takes somewhere between 6 - 18 months for a scar to fully mature. However, can one still expect a scar to naturally continually flatten and eventually restore some of the lost pigmentation, as the years pass? I'm not looking for miracles, just wondering if I can still expect some improvement even after a year, post-trauma. Will other treatments like micro-needling help achieve this improvement? Thanks.
I am moving to Brazil due to my work, and I have done a research in order to continue my sessions for heal a hypertrophic scar ..I've found good clinics but none of them works with PRP...also, in my first session (in USA) I used a vita c + hyaluronic acid serum and my skin did not react well because in every application my scar turned more red and thick, so I stopped with the product and the result was good.. hope there are more options of products that can be applied after the sessions!
I am of Southeastern Asian descent with relatively light skin who gets hypertrophic scarring after injuries. Can I still get microneedling on my face? I don't have any hypertrophic scars on my face but I would like to eliminate my sun spots and acne scars. I've tried IPL on its lowest setting and it made my sun spots worse.
