I had microneedling done about 6 days ago at a reputable plastic surgeon's office. After this procedure (done in the morning) I made the mistake of putting on a heavy facial moisturizer that evening just before bed. Next day I woke up with a break out of sorts on my face. The breakout has lessened, and I have no itching, but my face is still quite red. Should I be concerned? And, would any kind of adverse affect like this, hamper the long term results of what is typically a good outcome for me?
Is it unusual to see puncture marks 6 days following a microneedling session? The practitioner used 1.6mm depth pen with stem cell and hyaluronic serum. Post treatment I avoided makeup for 3 days, used a gentle cleanser and moisturized with a pure hyaluronic serum. Also am avoiding sun and use a broad spectrum SPF if I go out. My camera quality isnt quite good enough to capture them but I especially notice with makeup. Mostly visible on cheeks and temples. Procedure done for large pores/texture
I did microneedling for the first time 5 days ago. I was told by my doctor that I can wash my face with a gentle cleanser no sooner than 4 hours post-treatment. She did not specify whether it was safe to use moisturizer. Before bedtime (about 6 or 7 hours after treatment), I washed my face with Cetaphil and applied Aveeno Positively Radiant with SPF 30. I was not sure if this was okay but I knew I was also told to keep my face hydrated. Could this potentially be harmful?
I developed significant scabs around my eyes after my first microneedling session. I am on day 5 and still dont want to show my face in public. I was treated with a new type of pen (36 needles instead of 12), would this have caused the scabbing? She used 0.5-1.0 depth on the pen. Im scheduled for another session in a month and Im unsure about processing with that due to my down time with this session.
I had RF Micro-needling done 6 days ago. The clinic I used is closed today. I had the normal swelling and redness that went away with 24-48 hours. However, I still have raised itchy bumps everywhere. I am concerned that this might remain this way or that it might be some sort of allergic reaction. What can I do to alleviate the bumps and is this normal?
I just did Collagen PIN microneedling 5 days ago. (Previously 2 fraxels 2 years ago which ruined my skin IMO..) I have peeled and I see pore size and superficial texture issue improvements. What's next for my easily hyperpigmented skin? I'm doing Elta MD sunscreen but how can I help correct my PIH scars during the summer without hydroquinone and safely? No derms near me understand my PIH issues I have even with zero sun exposure...ideas? Thanks!
