I had a chemical peel two years ago and the skin was flaking and it fell off while I was washing my face and then I had sun exposure without sun screen on a long drive and then dark patches started to appear on my face. I am using skin lightening agents and sun screen but none seem to work. Is it permanent hyperpigmentation? Is there any cure? Will combination chemical peel or microdermabrasion help? Please help, I am very concerned now.
After my third microdermabrasion session I have began getting very dry flaky skin peeling especially around the chin area, this includes redness, tight face blemishes and itchy skin. I did not have this problem after my first and second session as my skin always felt smooth after. It has been a week now and my skin is still feeling very sensitive. Is this normal? And how long usually will this affect go down? Are there any creams or remedies I can use to speed up the recovery?
Went in for a microdermabasion session yesterday. My usual esthetician wasn't there so i had to get it done by a rookie. She was probably doing it wrong as it hurt. I had to ask her to stop midsession. Woke up with skin looking like this today. Skin never reacted this way to a microderm before. It is dry, flaky, and has a sheen like a plastic bag. Will this go away? Like peel off or something. I'm really worried.
I had 2 microdermabrasions (one week apart) and then 48hrs after the last one, I used my retin a. The woman who did the microdermabrasion said I could and that it would be like getting a peel. Today my skin is flaking off everywhere and feels super dry and red. I tried using my philosophy miracle moisturizer but it stung and seemed to make my face more red! What can I do to heal my face?
