Do I need to worry about nipple necrosis? Im 31 yrs old and underwent bilateral nipple sparing mastectomy due to breast cancer. 11 days post op, great recovery overall but the tip of my right breast niple (this one was biopsied to ensure no cancer) is getting darker. I dont want to lose it. Is this normal? Niple reacts to cold/heat on firmness and it is soft to the touch.
I have pics.... Please help me. This is the 3rd surgery on the same breast for three months... And from the looks of it look like I might have another one. First they said its just a bad abscess now it was a large cyst.... I already had two other surgery on my left breast for the same thing! That's 5 surgerys on my breast... And I'm tired
When I went back for a follow-up, my plastic surgeon said there was a flap of skin he was concerned about. However, after my second follow up and the removal of two of my four JP tubes and bulbs he said that it was looking better. The area now has an odor and has a burning sensation from time to time. The surgeon closed early today so I couldn't call him with my concerns. I am afraid I have an infection and am wondering if I need to call the on all MD.
