When I arrived at the clinic it was spotless and professional. We went through my expectations, signed the forms and got started. I had local anaesthetic so I was awake during the procedure and I was very nervous, but both Dr Abaci and his assistant were so attentive. They talked me through each step as it happened which kept me calm and comfortable. I could see the results straight away and even though it has only been a week since surgery I am already so happy with the difference. Before I left Istanbul I had a post op check to make sure I was fit to fly and I was given all the documents I might need for the airline. I recently had a mommy makeover surgery, which included procedures to restore my body post-pregnancy, and I wanted to share my honest experience just over three weeks post-op. Initial Impressions & Support From the very first consultation, the team—Beyza, Jim, and Dr. Malik—were incredibly responsive and supportive. Being in a foreign country for such a significant medical procedure was naturally a little nerve-wracking, but their warmth and professionalism immediately put me at ease. They were always approachable, answered my messages promptly, and made me feel like I wasn’t just another patient—they genuinely cared about my well-being. Jim and Beyza in particular were incredibly helpful in coordinating everything, from logistics to check-ins, and their communication was clear, timely, and compassionate throughout the process. I never felt left in the dark or unsure about any step of my care. Surgical Experience & Results So Far The surgery itself went very smoothly. Dr. Malik was both calm and confident, which gave me peace of mind going into the procedure. I felt like I was in safe, experienced hands. Three weeks on, I’m very pleased with the early results. Of course, full results will take more time to settle, but even now I can see a clear improvement and I feel more confident already. Some highlights of the surgical work: • Stitching was very neat and precise, with no bunching or excess skin around the incisions—this is something I truly commend the doctor for. • My areola has healed beautifully, and the appearance is natural and well-balanced. • I have minimal bruising and swelling now, and the scars are healing as expected. • Pain was very well-managed with the medication provided, which I found highly effective and necessary in the early days post-surgery. Dr. Malik even made the effort to visit me at the hotel after surgery to change my bandages, check the incisions, and ensure I was healing properly. That level of dedication really stood out to me—he was kind, patient, and took time to answer questions without rushing. He also encouraged me to go outside, enjoy the area, and not isolate myself, which was wonderful advice both mentally and emotionally during recovery. Accommodation & Post-Op Care The hotel accommodation arranged for recovery was excellent—very clean, comfortable, and in a quiet location which made resting much easier. The only downside was that the food at the hotel was a bit expensive, but that’s a minor issue in the grand scheme of things. Post-operative care was well-structured. I received all the necessary supplies and instructions, and Beyza and Jim remained in contact to ensure I was okay. They continued to follow up and were always available if I needed anything. Room for Improvement The only area I would suggest improvement in is language support at the hospital. While some nurses spoke basic English, not all did, and there were moments—especially right after surgery—when communication became a bit challenging. Having a fluent English-speaking staff member available 24/7 (especially during the night) would make a huge difference for international patients who may already feel vulnerable. Final Thoughts All in all, I’m very happy with my experience and feel confident that I made the right decision. It’s still early days in terms of final results, but I already feel more like myself, and that means a lot. I plan to write another update in a few months with photos and further progress as healing continues. I truly appreciate the care, compassion, and professionalism shown to me, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Dr. Malik and his team to others considering surgery abroad.
