Hello doctors, about 5 years ago I had gynecomastia surgery to remove excess breast tissue that I dealt with my entire teenage life. It was something I was very self conscious about. I may start TRT pretty soon and I would hate for TRT to make it come back. My chest has remained flat since the surgery but my doctor told me some minor amount of gland needs to be left in order to maintain nipple shape. Will TRT cause re-growth of gyno?
Hello and thanks for your time, I ve had gyno surgery 10 years ago to remove the glands due to pain after taking anabolic steroids. I am not sure if all of it was removed (if its even possible) but i could always feel a small lump above the nipple to the left. First of all does that sound like scar tissue or gland leftover? i ve been on trt for 2 years and after adding hcg that dreaded pain came back along with nipple sensitivity. Will nolvadex fix it?
Is it normal to have one chest muscle with a very noticeable indent on one side after surgery (more towards center chest, not under nipple). Does this go away? Had gyno surgery due to some tissue growth over 10 years from testosterone. In my opinion it wasnt very bad to begin with. All I wanted was the nipple to be more rounded. So I could have a better shape I now have a dent in the left side chest, can this be fixed?, I also have lost a lot of my side profile contour as the chest is now very flat. With a pocket of fat at the top between my chest and armpit. What would it take to have a good contour restored? Please help..
I consulted with endocrinologist, after tests, he advised my testosterone level is low and i should take medication. Result : 8.97 nmol/L (attached). I didnt listen to him and got surgery. after surgery my chest was very flat. But within 2 months i even got bigger man boobs. All fat again accumulated on my chest. My question, please advice what to do now, my surgery failed, shoud I take medication to increase testosterone. If yes please prescribe medication. Age 34, wt 122KG, ht 5' 10
I do strength training, have a decent diet, I have facial hair and all the signs of high testosterone levels, yet when I went to my Dr about my gyno she insisted of having a blood test for this, is there any point in doing so? I've had it for five years (as said in my previous question) and even when i was down to 12-15% body fat it didn't make a difference. I can't help thinking it's not hormonal.
I'm a 64 year old male diagnosed with hypogonadotropic hypogonadism about 15 years ago ( no LH or FSH resulting in little testosterone) I have since been using topical testosterone which in many ways improved my life. However in the last year or so I have noticed breast enlargement . My endocronologist checked and agreed it was gynecomastia., If I had reduction surgery what are the chances that continued testosterone use would cause this to return?
I was diagnosed with hypogonadism 4 years ago (T level 95ng/ml). No pituitary tumor. I was Rx'ed Testim but decided not to take it because I was worried about losing my hair plus read that T replacement therapy can cause gynecamastia to get worse. I never went back for a follow up appt. Now I do feel worse and gynecamastia is also worse. I decided to follow up and hopefully be able to have the surgery if insurance will cover it, and start taking testosterone. Should insurance cover this?
Im 16 years old ,I have gynecomastia for the past few years but I realised this now , I was quite obese but lost a lot of weight in the past 2 years . And have been working out in the gym for about 3 months , rest of my body is coming in shape but my nipples are the same even my upper chest is coming in shape but I think my lower chest is getting worse and also I need to know if Trt will help because I can't afford surgery.
I understand that Gynaecomastia condition occurs due to higher levels of estrogen harmones in men. Will the androgen/testosterone level in men increase after gyanecomastia surgery where breast glands are removed. Thanks
