Hi All, I'm curious what to do as I have an indent in my left nipple right around the area that I had stitches done, and just overall the nipple area is indented. Even though I regret it, I insisted on having more Kenalog injections in that nipple because it's still sort of poked out (barely). Long story short I had more done and even though you can't see it in this picture very much, it's very indented I'm curious as to how this can be fixed or if it will eventually go away. ~1.5mg kenalog 40
Are fillers a good solution for post Gynecomastia surgery indentation it's been about a year since my surgery and the dent bothers me but not enough to get a second surgery but it does bother me a good amount . Any suggestions would be much appreciated .
Follow-up post to provide more pictures. Surgeon may have removed too much tissue/fat from my chest creating indentations/craters, or perhaps he was too aggressive with the liposuction. The craters are more prominent when my arms are lifted but are still noticeable with my arms by my side. The crater on my left appears to be larger in size, too. Will this likely need a fat transfer/graft in the future or will time and healing fix this issue?
I'm a little over 10 months post-op on my gynecomastia surgery. I had gland removal. For the most part healing has gone fine, but whenever I move certain ways, put my hands behind my back, or flex, you can see these weird indents, almost like bands of tissue all across my pecs. Is this scar tissue? Swelling? Will it go away on its own or will i need another surgery ? My areola looks weird. Please tell me how it looks to you.
Pre-gyno surgery, I did not have any wide indentations on my chest when I flexed on my right side. I also did not have any holes or indentation on my chest when I lifted my arms out to the side or above my head. Now when I flex my chest, my right side caves in all outside of the areola and has an indentation line that runs all the way to the center of the chest. Left side has a hole/indentation that is most noticeable when my arm is lift to side or above head. Surgeon did not seem to notice
29y old M, black, generally healthy. I had bilateral gynecomastia surgery with gland excision, liposuction and areola reduction via circum-areola incisions. At 2 weeks, bandages removed, then surgical dehiscence on one side. My chest felt tight for about 6 weeks. I could not raise my arms or sleep on my sides. The side that dehisced now has a hypertrophic scar unresponsive to 3x steroids with CO2 laser. Chest still flat, but both areala appear stretched. Slight indent when arm raised. Help?
Now it's been one year after my gynaecomastia surgery. When I raised my hands craters occurs on both sides of the chest. Also left side nipple indent towards the body. I feel some hardness under that nipple. What is this issue and can it be corrected?
I did a gynecomastia surgery a year and a half ago. When I sit or bend my nipples dip inside my chest, or when I flex. I went to another doctor and he proposed fat injection and scar tissue release. I did that, it helped but the issue was still noticeable. He then did another surgery on me with local anesthesia and released the scar again. Helped a tad but the issue was still there so we did another scar release a month later. Why does my scar tissue keep sticking to my muscle and what to do?
Hi doctors. Im only about 6 weeks post op so I understand my body is still healing and this is isnt the final result, but Ive had a dent on the side of my left pec since day 1 after surgery and it hasnt seemed to change at all. Does it look like oversuction or does it look like it the gap/dent will eventually fill in? Is it possible scar tissue? I will say the area around is is still very hard. Should I be getting steroid injections to break up the tissue? Or will this need fat grafting? Thanks.
