Gynecomastia Surgery + Final Result Q&A

Hi! I had gynecomastia surgeryliposuction on my chest 3 weeks ago. And i was wondering how tight should the compression garment be and how long should i wear the compression garment? I felt that the garment i had was not giving be so much compression(became loose), so now i am using two compression vests' to get more tightness. Does extra tight compression give better final results and is it safe?

I hear a lot and read about the recovery stages after gynocmestia and all doctors say it takes almost half a year to see final results. Is there really a big difference between 6-7 weeks post op to 6 months?

How much swelling is expected?

I have unilateral gynecomastia. I feel that the doctor only lipo me and he didn't take out the gland. How do I know if he took it out or not? Or maybe I didnt have any gland tissue but always felt I had gland tissue.

Thank you for the previous answer however I think my question may have been misinterpreted. I was lying down and REMOVED a blanket off my chest after a nap, leaving my chest exposed. Shortly after (maybe a minute or two) I looked down and saw the sun was shining through directly on my chest (the shades were open allowing sun through the window). I quickly moved and got out of the sun but am wondering if that was enough exposure to affect my end result. Thanks!

Is the picture shown common within the first weeks of a gynecomastia? I am looking at getting a gynecomastia procedure but am afraid of this being the final result. I don't see many images like this online at any stage and want to feel comfortable with the procedure. I was told the photos on this particular dr's website are taken only 4-6 weeks out. He seemed to disregard this issue. He might be completely right as I'm not experienced in this at all. Please take a look, is this common?

Hi,I had a gynecomastia liposuction 2.5 weeks ago. I took off the rib belt 10 days post-op (was moving a lot too, but not gyming). I’ve had the belt off for a week & now the breast looks really saggy! No fat,but just skin&lumps.The results looked fantastic the 1st week (chiseled breast for the 1st time ever) - Will the rib belt work if I wear it now? Or too late? - Workout chest sooner than later? - What else to do? The “roller coaster” in results is really depressing. Please help, thx a lot in advance
