I had gynecomastia surgery about 18 months ago with good results. Unfortunately I developed internal scar tissue that is not specific to underneath the nipple but the entire lower pec. I'm wondering if ultrasound therapy will help with this, considering the tissue is mature and the area might be too big for Kenalog to help, although I have had one set of injections already. Tried massage, and am assuming revision is going to be suggested, but no assurance scarring won't build up again.
Is less always better? I believe I remember reading from a surgeon's before and after files that one particular patient was quite lean with a solid muscle base, which made the surgery more difficult. Is this maybe because there's less room for error? What's an approximate body fat% you recommend - a bodybuilder type to have going into surgery?
Hello doctors. I underwent liposuction and excision for gynecomastia 3 weeks ago. Right chest looks amazing, but the left nipple is still a little puffy. The part below my left nipple is also soft. My doc told me it was only fat. There is scar tissue to the immediate left of my left nipple. Is the scar tissue causing the puffiness? if not, is there a chance the puffiness can go away without a revision? Can reducing my body fat % help?
26 year old male, was obese as a kid, looking to get my gynecomastia removed. 1. Should I consult my physician first? 2. I am currently out of shape. Is it ideal to get in shape (lower bodyfat %) first? will that affect cosmetic results? 3. Should I opt to get put out or just partially sedated? I would prefer to be as conscious as possible. 4. How long is the typical recovery time? Thank you in advance.
