What can be the cause of swelling 9 months post thighs liposuction? They wont get smaller. I was told that maybe it's because I didn't do MLD; also the compression garment wasn't really at my size - Echo Doppler was negative - what are the symptom of scar tissue/lymphedema ?
Hi, I'm a model and I couldn't lose the fat in my hips so I did a lipo ( thighs hips flanks legs ) and six months after I am bigger then when I was skinny and this even by eating clean. When I work out my legs got even bigger. I'm not loosing weight even with all the effort - I'm desperate. As you can see on the picture my legs are bigger than when I was skinny and this even if eat super healthy. Is it normal ? Does it mean I have lymphedema?
Hi,5 months Ago I had a liposuction in France ( in French but just moved in LA ) in my thigh, hips, buttock and flanks. Today I am still swelling, heavy legs, and looks like there is fluid but I don't have pitting mark - I did the lymphatic massage and it was helping but not so much.
After fat transfer to breast and lipo on my thighs, one of my legs is still thicker than the other after 7 months post-procedure. I had numbness in this thigh which subsided after 6 months but is still a bit there now. The quad muscle feels thick, heavy, hard, more dense compared to the left one like after strenuous exercise. Ultrasound of the swollen leg revealed no blood clots, my PS doesn't know why this is happening, neither do other surgeons I saw, do I have a lymphedema? Who do I go see?
I have been diagnosed with lymphadema in my lower leg and ankle in 2010 after 2 perineal tendon repair surgeries. Is liposuction a safe option to get rid of the swelling?
I am not supposed to have my blood drawn or blood pressure taken on that arm because of increased risk of lymphedema. But a doctor wants to liposuction my axillary area instead which is close to where my nodes were taken. Will arm or axillary liposuction increase my risk for lymphedema? Thank you.
A recent consultation with a surgeon regarding light liposuction to the auxillae (fairly low, next to the breast, not high into the armpit) went well, however, I was warned about the risk of lymphoedema as a result of surgery. Please can someone contextualise how significant a risk this is with this kind of surgery? Was this warning a formality or a genuine risk? Should I be worried? Thanks!
