4 days post op abdominal liposuction. Some incisions appeared to be a dented hole, some appeared to be raw skin openings. There is slight drainage. I've been putting Neosporin on them hoping to prevent scar from forming. What else can I do to help the healing to prevent scars from even trying to form? At what point I can start using the scar silicone strips?
after having liposuction procedure, i've continued to have fluid build up and need to be aspirated. Should it only be done or drained by the doctor or a licensed person. Or is this something the office staff should be able to handle as well?
I had liposuction on my inner thigh 7 months ago and developed a seroma which was hard as a gulf ball. My surgeon drained it multiple times and injected it one time with steroids but it stills keep filling and its been almost a month that the sac was removed. The incision is pretty much healed but it stills keep filling up and has about 20mls or more of serous fluid. Is this normal to have the sac removed but the area to still filling up with fluid?
I had my surgery 6 days ago, liposuction of abdomen, flanks, back and arms. Today I feel more floated and swollen than 2 days ago. It is normal? I will begin my pos-op massage tomorrow and my doc tomorrow will take off my drainage from my back
I had aggressive liposuction of my abdomen yesterday. I am worried that I have been bleeding pretty heavily from my left incision sight near my groin. It is not just the blood tinged fluid like I was expecting, but dark read blood. I have soaked around 3 tena maxi pads and when I stand up it just gushes out. I left a message with my surgeon but Its almost 9pm on a Friday here so idk when I will hear back and if this is something I should go to an ER for.
I had lipo of the abdomen, flanks & back exactly 4 weeks ago. I was told not to massage it myself but just go for my weekly lymph drainage massage for 4 weeks. But I am still bumpy & uneven. I wear my bodysuit daily still and only take it off for showering. I am going to continue my weekly massages but will this go away? Is there anything else I can do? My doctor said just to to more massages but I am worried and want to be sure.
Hello I recently have gotten a liposuction. Ive gotten 2 massages but only one side has drained. But the incision has closed on the other side so its not draining as much as my left side. The massage therapist at the surgery center stated it will come out each time I take a pee. Do any doctors known this to be true? I feel like I need to go back to have the proper draining
I have an appt scheduled in late Jan to get liposuction on my abs and flanks done, then soon after I'll be going back for my inner and outer thighs...I am past being worried about the pain (thanks to all of these informational posts) I am now concerned with the drainage. Can someone tell me what to expect? Is there a lot of fluid? How often do you have to change the dressing?
