Hi I have extreme pollen allergies that will just last for a couple of weeks. My doctor wants to do the revision lip lift during the worst high of my allergies on Monday. The nurses all say it is fine too. How can it be fine when my nose is already swollen from allergies? Will this not cause the scarring to develop worse, due to high inflammation?
I'm scared. My nose looks HUGE, undefined and pig like after my lip lift 12 days ago. Also I'm worried too much skin was taken. I'm comparing photos and really feel that I need professional answers. I checked with my surgeon but all she tells me is give it time, it's not healed yet. Are my sills gone? Can my nose regain some of it's definition? Can it be surgically restored if not? Help! I was never informed about what a lip lift can do to the shape of a nose!
Hello, I got a lip lift almost 3 weeks ago. I am still a bit swollen and my upper lip feels stiff/numb. I realise this is fairly normal, but also suspect I am healing slightly slower than average. I am still trying to limit the movements of my mouth when talking/eating/smiling and still follow a soft food diet to avoid chewing. I'm wondering how much longer should I keep following these precautions? I'm conscious that I have some internal sutures which need to heal.
I had a lip lift done 2 days ago (two incisions inside the nostrils) I'm still very swollen. Yesterday I removed the bandage from my nose and I was shocked- it is SO much wider, and the nostrils looks huge! It looks like the nostrils are much higher so you can see the black part even when my head is leaning towards the ground. Is this normal for the nose to look so much bigger after the procedure and for the nostrils to look so much higher, completely different from the way they were before?
Surgeon did a face/neck lift and recommended a lip lift during which he injected abdominal fat into my inner lip mucosa. I was told the fat would dissipate over time but after 9 months it has not and it is still sore and lumpy and my lips get very sticky red and swollen. I look ok if I don't smile but when I do you can see all these lumps and I look weird and my lips are misshapen. My lips feel numb and stiff a lot of the time. Can I get these clumps removed?
