I am an older woman and have my lip lift scheduled for 6/26. Because of 4 of July, the office is taking a holiday and wont be able to take out my stitches until 7/5. That will make it 10 days before stitches are out. The doctor has offered to do dissolvable stitches but Im not sure I want those. What should I do?
My lip lift was done with some other facial surgeries and it came out great. The only problem is that my skin grew over the stitches around the nose and they never healed. Its still visible after a 15 months and looks bumpy in spots and with lines. I dont know if there is any way to fix it. Its also so itchy- Im constantly itching my nose, especially there are bumps on either side of the nose and it drives me crazy. Ive had micro needling with Prp, laser, and use silicone but it remains.
I had a lip lift procedure in April 2022. I do not believe enough stitches were put in place to hold the skin together which resulted in my skin parting. Panicking I tried all I could to fix the scar immediately, but was told to wait 6 months for the scar to heal. It has now been over 6 months and I am in desperate need of help. This scar is causing me depression. I have used silicone sheets consistently and the scar doesnt improve. Please help
Bullhorn lip lift with dissolvable sutures. Spoke to the doctor today, who had me send pictures via text, said this is normal healing. I just would like to know what other doctors think. I am getting very nervous, the pictures actually don't show the extent of the scar. Very bad track marks, you can literally see every stitch hole and the line. Suggestions/advice...Please
hi, one year ago I had my first lip lift. Dr used self dissolving sutures. I then was left with a widened white scar incision. After one year(now) I have had revision. Dr. told me, she will make the incision into my nostrils so it can be harden seen. Now I have a two longened nostrils downwards and with either a atrophic scar or the suture has not dissolved. One side is more bumpy than the other. It feels hard. I feel people starring to this scar, I would also. It is in the middle of my face.
I had a bullhorn lip lift on the 9th of december, everything was fine until I ate and felt a huge pain in the scar and I have now an empty tiny hole where i can see a black stitching. I don't know if i should be worried or not. I had absorbable stitching with glue and it looks likes the glue has broken in this tiny hole.
I have had my lift-lip and whilst i am happy with my healing . I am 4 weeks post- op, there was some stitches left in the area. Some were removed by surgeon but not all so I manually had to cut them out. there is one stitch that it is too short to get out but its just prickly when I touch it with my finger. My question is will it dissolve or will I have to get it out somehow. ( as it is its difficult). My surgeon is in another country so I cannot go back to him.
Is there anything that can be done to fix this? I had a lip lift just over 2 years ago. The scarring is deep and has got stitch marks all the way round. Im very self conscious about it and its noticeable even whilst wearing makeup. Since having the procedure done I cant close my mouth properly and feel like I have too much tooth show when my mouth is at rest. Are there any procedures that can help me? Thank you
I had a lip lift surgery done a week and a half ago. I had some sort of infection at the site of the incision and got on both oral and topic antibiotics for five days. I got my stitches removed and there are two noticeable holes on each side of the columella, not too big, less than a millimeter, left. I was wondering if there is a way to get them to close/disappear?
Found a procedure on the internet called a lip lift suspension that is described as an upper lip lift, no scar, single stitch, a thread is used to anchor and suspend the upper lip. I am very interested. Does this work and I am looking for someone who has experience doing this!
