I would like to know if I am a good candidate for a lip lift. I am from Germany and I couldn't find any experienced doctor here so I am willing to travel for this procedure. My absolutely biggest fear is that the movement of my lip will appear unnaturally or stiff and bad scarring of course. And is it necessary to cut and pull up the muscle as well for less scarring as I saw in some reviews? I hope not :) Thanks in advance.
Hi, I'm a female in m 20s, scheduled for a lip lift but am getting a bit nervous as in a lot of after photos it looks like the top lip is quite stiff. I don't want my face to look frozen when I talk. Is there any chance of that being permanent or will full movement of upper lip come back in time? How long does it take?
Last year, I had a Lip Lift. Besides removing skin, the doctor removed a strip of my orbicularis oculi (OO) muscle, then sewed the muscle to the bone behind my nose. Now, my upper lip hangs lower than it did before my surgery, and it barely moves and is stiff. I am wondering, if by accident, the doctor cut my depressor septi muscle when he removed a strip of the OO muscle. I can't lift the center of my lip from one philtrum column to the other. The lip is like dead weight and is completely numb. I am very depressed over this. Do you think that I can be helped?
Hello, I got a lip lift almost 3 weeks ago. I am still a bit swollen and my upper lip feels stiff/numb. I realise this is fairly normal, but also suspect I am healing slightly slower than average. I am still trying to limit the movements of my mouth when talking/eating/smiling and still follow a soft food diet to avoid chewing. I'm wondering how much longer should I keep following these precautions? I'm conscious that I have some internal sutures which need to heal.
Hi Doctors! It has been 13 months since my (skin only) sub nasal lip lift surgery. I had 8 mm removed mostly from center. I had a round of steroids at 6 months and micro needling recently, and all it did was increase stiffness under the nose down to the lip. I am self conscious to laugh or talk because it's still quite tight and I am having issues pronouncing certain letters. Is there anything I can do to soften things up at all? I hate this!
Surgeon did a face/neck lift and recommended a lip lift during which he injected abdominal fat into my inner lip mucosa. I was told the fat would dissipate over time but after 9 months it has not and it is still sore and lumpy and my lips get very sticky red and swollen. I look ok if I don't smile but when I do you can see all these lumps and I look weird and my lips are misshapen. My lips feel numb and stiff a lot of the time. Can I get these clumps removed?
