I had my procedure about 4 years ago and while my actual lips look much better, my scar is quite long, webbed, and shiny! I cannot hide it with makeup and people point it out all the time. I'm not sure what can be done? If it were re-excised would it be considered another lip lift or just a scar revision? I've tried microneedling to no avail as well.
In january I have had a liplift and nosejob, both led to dissatisfaction. The one that really impacts my social life now is the scar under my nose. I have been treating it with Co2 laser, but it is a slow and not so effective procedure. I know it will never be perfect, but right now it looks butchered. My question is will a revision surgery be a better option for me? It really scares me to do it but I get sad every time I see myself. Any recommendation of a doctor would be nice as well.
Hello Is the recovery time /swelling for a lip lift scar revision the same ? My scar is a bit crooked around one of my nostrils, I feel my nostrils are pulling down a bit ,my nose looks different . Lip lift was in February 2016 .. Thank you very much
The same dr revised the first attempt and it looked worse. When I spoke with the dr about my dissatisfaction, his response was you said it looked good after I finished. Yes I did, I had just been cut open. I was number, out of sorts and the final results are not apparent in the first minutes after surgery. I then went to another dr, revised the scar but now I look pulled and my mouth is very triangular. What are my options if any?
I had a bullhorn lip lift in july 2012. I absolutely didn't get any lift in my lip but it did leave me with a hypertrophic scar. I had my first CO2 fractional laser treatment about 1.5 month ago but aside from it being a little smoother I can't see any difference yet. Will fractional laser help or should I consider a revision surgery (can I get a lip lift?)? Please help me before I waste any more money on treatments that won't work. I'm really getting depressed about this, she's ruined my face.
Had a lip lift 3 yrs ago. Slight lift improvement and some scaring. In May 2016, had second lift which removed scars and more lift, but now left with noticeable puckering line scar when I smile. If second doctor had cut higher toward nasal openings, I don't think such a scar would be noticeable. Is it possible for a third lift to remove puckering scar with incisions higher up?
I want to change the position of my scar so that its much closer to my nostrils, and pretty much totally hidden. It is currently just underneath my base of my nose so its very obvious. Would i need a scar revision or would i need a lip lift revision?
