Some Dr's prefer to cut the muscle and some do not for a bullhorn upper lip lift. I have been looking into getting an upper lip lift. Nervous about scarring but also best procedure type. Seems some doctors prefer to cut the muscle and some do not. This is very confusing. Is there a reason why? Pros and Cons? I'm not sure if I should avoid a certain method. Thanks.
I had a bullhorn lip lift done 9 days ago. Now that the swelling has disappeared, I find my upper lift far less lifted than I thought. I love it, though, but I'm worried that it will gradually drop more. In case I have to undergo lip lift surgery again, what are the different types of fixation, and what their pros and cons ?
The lip lift reviews on this site seem to represent the bullhorn, or subnasal, lip lift technique more than any other technique. However, I just had a consultation with a surgeon who immediately rejected the subnasal technique outright, due to the risks of nasal sill drooping and scar hypertrophy. He advised the V-Y technique. I am having a very hard time finding much information on the V-Y technique, much less pictures and reviews.
I had fillers done twice in the past and while the first time (in my 20s) lasted for few months, the second time few years ago lasted only 2-3 weeks. I did like the look but it was so short lived that I can't remember anymore. Now that I am approaching my 40s I am looking for a permanent solution and I want to figure out if lip lift is better than implants for me, since I think I have a long upper lip, when I have my mouth open, I don't see my teeth. What would be better?
I am hoping to get a lip lift soon but I'm keen to know whether the incision should be in the nostril or simply hug the bottom of the nose? It would be good to understand the pros and cons of the two incisions. Thanks
Recommendations, pros/cons, opinions?Tried juvederm, restylane and belatero and different injectors. They don't last and always look duckish at first. My teeth barely show with a relaxed smile and don't show at all at rest. I even got aligners for my teeth and it didn't help. Is this the answer? Can it be done conservatively and still have impact? Can the lateral lip be rolled out more to give a more arched lip line? Can I expect to be reasonably healed in 5 days for light activity?
