Hello, I had Lasik 6 years ago; it went perfectly. I had 20/20 vision with the only problem of double vision when driving at night. Since the last 7 months, I have been needing glasses again for distance, with a measurement of -1 in both eyes. I've had myopia since I was 8 years old. When I had the surgery, I had -6.5 in my right eye and -5.5 in my left, and a little astigmatism. I am only 36, so I'm afraid of losing more of my vision. Could I get LASIK twice, and when should I do it?
44 yr old analyst had Lasik monovision 7 months ago. (prior PWR - 7.5, CYL -1 both eyes) Achieved targeted Right eye 0 diopter , Left eye - 1.5 diopters after OP. At 3 month post-OP, Right eye regressed to -0.5 and the Left to - 1.75. I feel some depth perception discomfort and blurriness due to dry eyes. 1. How much more regression would occur? 2. Would the amount of monovision cause eye strain and accelerate regression? 3. Is an enhancement worthwhile to improve left eye by 0.5 or 0.75 now?
I got bladess lasix surgery 11 years with great results and no real issues. I've noticed a gradual regression in my right eye for a few months but these past 3-4 weeks I noticed a more progressive regression. I went to my optometrist and he said I did regress, and wrote a prescription for -250 for right eye and -100 for left eye. Question is can I and should I perform an enhancement or do I have to do PRK? Should I just do the right eye? Or do daily contacts ,or glasses? I'm 37 and pissed!Thx!!
I had Lasik in 1999 at the age of 43 (they gave me monovision). In 2014 my retina detached in the distance eye. I am now legally blind in that eye. Can I have the right (close up vision eye) changed back to regular vision?
I am almost 40 yrs and have -2.0 in both eyes. They have been stable at -2.0 for 3 years. Had initial evaluation and told my corneas are borderline. Should I still consider LASIK bladeless or not? Thanks.
I have recently started looking into the options of surgery for vision correction and have become aware of RLE. I am wondering if it would be an option, given my high prescription, but would like some advice first from an expert. Prescription: Right Eye: Sph +11.5 Cyl -075 Axis 180 Left Eye: Sph +12.0 Cyl -100 Axis 5 My eyes are very small, historically too small for soft lenses, if this has any bearing... And I am aged 39. I would appreciate any advice. Thanks in advance. Richard
42 years old, had LASIK 6 weeks ago for myopia. Non-dominant eye was slightly overcorrected, about ~+0.25, the dominant eye is slightly undercorrected, ~-0.25. I have noticed when I work on the computer I can read fine, but when I look up at a distant object my dominant eye is extremely blurry, non-dominant eye has fine vision. Blurriness goes away after 5-10 minutes, but eye feels strained. I can still read small print fine. The dominant eye has been really dry since surgery. Cause of this?
i am 35....i only have very very minor +0.25 farisightness in both eyes, which doesnt need treatment... however i have one eye 1.25 and 2.00 astigmatism....i currently dont wear glasses........ is 1.25 and 2.00 considered mild or moderate astigmatism? does astigmatism range get higher with age? finally is intralase lasik permantan option for me? thank you
I'm 38 and I already had one eye LASIK 2 weeks ago which I obtain 20/20 vision. I have problem seeing close. If I do Lasik on the the remaining eye for -1.25, will it prevent me having to wear reading glasses later? (I don't need reading glasses currently) Will it be difficult for me to work seeing close? Also, would you rather treat both eyes to 20/20 and worry about reading glasses later or go with the option mention above? What is the pro and con?
