I had my legs lasered for the first time on January 17th 2017 and experienced burning from prior sun exposure, its been over 2 months and i'm worried my legs will never be normal again! I took photos after my laser treatment and everyday after until the scabbing healed, then photos weekly until now. I dont see any improvement in these white spots and i have tried fading creams, pigmentation creams, sun exposure to tan the white areas and even my skin out, and nothing seems to change the spots
I was burned during laser hair removal. The following day a dermatologist gave me a cortisone shot and topical cream ( mometasone) which I used for 7 days. My scabbing came off and I now have Hypopigmentation. Will this white spots be permanent? Will they improve ? Ive been told to stay away from the sun, but I have also heard that gradual sun exposure (1-2 min) very 2-3 days may help improve the appearance as the white patches may tan.
I was recently burned by Alexondrite laser when i should have received Yag laser. However, I have been keeping the scabs moist by applying silver sulfadiazine and aquaphor every 4 hours and a tefla dressing on top. Dermatologist advised me to soak the scabs in hydrogen peroxide so that they fall off and I am just worried if this is the best thing to do. Growing up olive skinned, picking scabs always caused them to scar dark. Please help, I don't want to cause more damage.
I have a dark mole placed near my upper lip (I've had it all my life, it's a family trait). I recently had my first session of laser hair removal for my upper lip.The next day I noticed a scab on it. I called the office and they said when the scab fell off it should be fine. The scab fell off 3 days later and the mole has gone from a dark brown/black to a light brown. When it fully heals should I expect it to go back to normal? Is this normal or a mistake on the medical spa?
I had laser done on Wednesday it is now Saturday. I had a lot of blackness and what appeared to be scabs. I went Back and the owner told me it was the hair that was ejecting. She told me to exfoliate the area. The dark scab looking area rubbed off and now I have pink itchy spots. It looks like raw skin
I got laser hair removal and I've been getting it for over 2 years now. A month ago the temperature was too hot and I thought the temp was higher to get the dark hairs that came back fast, but after my appointment my thigh immediately started to turn red and then purplish brown like when u get a scab. After a while the scab came off and now it's just white in the spots I got the burn. I'm really worried because I'm just a kid and I don't want this to ruin my life please help!
I had a Marilyn Munroe beauty spot above my lip (had it since i was 4 years old) I recently did laser hair removal and specifically said do not laser it as i do not want it to be removed. After laser it turned into a scab and has fallen off. I'm so upset, its been my trademark since i was very little and my mum has one in the exact same spot. Will it come back? The laser they used is called Candela.
After my 4th Laser Hair Removal session for underarms, I noticed that there were alot more red dots /appearance of scabs than what I had experienced in the previous 3 treatments. Prior to this session I had very clean results for underarms; without any marks or redness. I'm concerned because I have my final treatment in 4weeks and I don't want to make it worse or encourage scarring as I have olive skintone. When will this heal properly, if at all? Should I cancel the 5th laser session?
