I have been suffering from this for almost a year. Boils appear on my legs and when they heal, they leave a dark brown scar that does no go away. I have tried two different courses of antibiotics and the boils are still recurring! Is it bacterial or ingrown hair related? I do not know what to do anymore. Please help me! I want the scars to go away and the boils to stop coming!
I spoke with my derm and she told me that my recurring boils in my pubic area is due to my very coarse and curly hair. Also my hirsutism. She says that laser hair removal would dramatically help. Thing is, I don't know if it's ok to go get laser hair removal when I have big ugly boils in that area that are still healing. Is this an issue for estheticians?
Hi I just moved from the southwest to the southeast. I have had recurrent folliculitis and boils. It has gotten much worse since the move . I have taken antibiotics. The only thing that seems to help is antibacterial soap and bleach baths. I do have significant mold allergies that seem to contribute as I do have atopic dermatitis and eczema at times. Would laser hair removal help this condition for my back and abdomen? The ones my abdomen are much more virulent.
For the past 8 months I have had 7 abscess/boils - 5 of which were on my labia. My doctor prescribed me an antibiotic for MERSA and informed me that I could possibly need my Bartholin's glad removed. My question is, if I continue to suffer from the boils is laser hair removal a positive option for me or how can I tell if I do indeed need my Bartholin's gland removed?
I had lasor hair removal done on my full bikini exactly two weeks ago, on the fourth day after treatement my right labia had swollen to double in size and was very warm and sensitive, it felt more like a burn than a boil, but within 24 hours it had gone down, now 2 days ago I started to notice the shredding of my hair and yesterday my labia has swollen in the same place again and is still swollen today (24 hours later) what could this be? Will it go down on its own?
After my first laser hair removal session on my face I noticed small white boils/pimples on the treated areas (side burns, chin, neck). The hair was thick and dark and I have a soft brown complexion, is there anything I should be concerned about or see a doctor?
