The laser hair removal technician told me to stop using retinol and AHA/BHA products 2 wks before and after laser. If I'm getting laser on my upper lip, can I still use these products on the rest of my face? Are there other skincare products that I shouldn't be using? Is benzoyl peroxide, Vitamin C + Ferulic acid ok?
Hi, I'm a Mexican female. My acne is pretty low, but it used to be a little moderate. I once used a hair removal cream for the face, and it made me breakout in my cheeks(it never happened b4). For about 6 months, I went w/my dermatologist, & began washing my face every morning with Benzoyl Peroxide (10%), dabbing on Clindamycin Phospate Topical Solution (1%) 2x a day on red bumps, and Retin-a cream (0.05%) every night. I asked her if it was safe if did do the laser hair removal and she said yes.
I want to know if I should stop these medications before or after laser hair removal so it doesn't cause burns or make it less effective and by how many days? Glucophage (metformin) 1000 - vitamin D 10000 iu - ferritin iron - daflon 1000. As well as topically using honey as a mask daily/using benzac AC (benzoyl peroxide) 5%. Thank you very much.
I have had this issue for about a year now. I avoid tight clothing and use primarily cotton underwear. Have been on oral antibiotics, cleansed daily with anti bacterial soap, exfoliated, used witch hazel & tea tree oil, used Aveeno salycylic acid pads, as well as things like Tend Skin with benzoyl peroxide. Currently getting laser hair removal as well. Any idea how I can make this go away? The bumps are oftentimes infected & get worse the further down this area you go
