What did you experience post-IPL skin treatment?  Was it a long recovery, short, painful, quick?  Please share!

So many on this site have had severe complications from Fraxel and IPL and other treatments. Can any of the doctors address what can be done to help all of us, we really need some guidance and support. Thank you.

Is there any doctors that can treat or help laser ipl damage? I am in Maryland but willing to travel. 3 weeks after 4 th treatment

Hi! I had my first laser hair removal (full arms) yesterday. The tech said she was using IPL. I'm Asian with light brown skin and dark hair. The right arm looks okay but I have these burn marks to the top of my left forearm. Now I couldn't go out because I look like grilled steak! She gave me a tube of neosporin before I left to apply to the area. I've also applied cold compress...

Hey, This is my first post, I'll try and make it as clear as I can! Thanks to my dad's genes, I'm extremely hairy. I have loads of hair on my chest, stomach, shoulders, back, bum, underarms, hands, legs, feet etc. It has been a major cause of concern and I've tried a variety of things to deal with it, such as shaving, waxing, epilating, hair removal cream etc but none have really worked. A few...

I had IPL done 4 days ago for photorejuvenation. Had previously tolerated this for hair removal but was not offered a patch test for the photorejuvenation. The procedure was more painful that I expected and I was shocked to see my face immediately after. There were brown/red bars on my neck and slightly less prominent marks on my face. No blistering occurred post-procedure. Both the technician...

Does anyone have any information on IPL for dry eye syndrome? I read an article about this new treatment and would appreciate any feed back.

I'm 28 years old, and have been trying to remove a red spot on my face for a few years. I had two treatments done before, with minimal results. I was getting laser hair removal done with a groupon, and the clinic told me out their IPL treatments. I'm just about 3 weeks out, and I'm now noticing many more fine lines than I started with. No redness, although I had rosesea before. My face swelled...

Will cosmelan work on PIH post IPL as well or just on melasma? The treatment (mask and maintenance) need to be done to work as well? The maintenance cream alone did not work for me. Please advise

Of course it can!  1. Commonsense:  heat and trauma can cause broken blood vessels.  IPL can provide both.  Machine malfunction, wrong settings, etc. and you can obviously end up w/ more broken blood vessels than before IPL.  2.  I AM LIVING PROOF.  After my IPL tx, I have new, darker, more broken blood vessels, some in areas I did NOT HAVE any before....

I ve done Ipl 20 days ago now its more darker then it use to be .any body any idea why its darker ? Please any suggesions ? As I'm worrying to much .the doctor advanced that it will became darker and skin will come off. It did after few days it turned to darker spots

Im only one month post burn.  My provider wants to IPL the in-between areas of the white stripes left by the first flub.  .  I am worried this is not the thing to do. But she said it will help with the blending process.  Im not feeling so good about myself, I would like some postive feedback from anyone who has gone back to normal.      Thanks so much

Trying to find out if there may be some common link between people who are having similiar damage when having IPL and laser treatment. It does not seem that skin type or age is the reason. Nor does it matter that it is abalative as in Fraxel or if it is IPL. Could some people have a reaction similiar to what is called fiberblast ? The skin in simple terms over breaks down...

This is a photo of my chest one day after my first IPL treatment.  No test area was treated.  I have not been in the sun for over two months and am not using any tanning products or bronzers.  I sent this photo to the MedSpa where I had the treatment and they told me this is "normal" and I will have a great result.  I do not have any pain.  Today is day #2 post...

I've used topical tretinoin for acne for bout 15 years (on and off) and have been told it may have thinned my skin thereby contributing to some IPL complications (broken blood vessels, depressions, chronic superficial bleeds from skin). Is this a problem that has been experienced by others?

I had IPL (BBL) about two weeks ago for vascular issues. Provider said it shouldn't impact my beard, so I shaved. Hurt quite a bit and now I have large bald circles all down my jaw. Has this happened to anyone else? Did yours grow back?

I made my first IPL treatment. They applied me a gel and lighted me .The things is,there isnt a single hair removed. They told me that after the second or third treatment I will see the effect but it seems weird to me. Meanwhile they told me to use a depilatory creams inbetween sessions if I cant stand my face and NOT to use wax(this is what I usually use). Any advices?Anyone had the same...
