After my about 6 sessions, many of hairs have gotten small and fine, but there still those few strands that haven't changed much. Would it be okay to just pluck those? Would it reverse the effect of the IPL for those strands? And if I was to wax the whole area, would it reverse the effect of the IPL on the whole area? Or is the only way to maintain after IPL sessions is to shave?
I understand the hair follicle must be visible for IPL/laser be effective, so one should not wax just before a treatment. But could this help boost the effectiveness for IPL treatments (or reduce the total treatments needed): - Wax the whole (bikini) area - Wait 2-4 weeks for most follicles to be in anagen phase - Shave 1-2 days before first IPL/laser treatment - Do the IPL, and every 4 weeks thereafter Would that work? Or do two rounds of waxing to get more hairs on the same cycle?
Hello, I've been having this problem since my late teens. I wax it every now and then, but waxing causes me to break out. I was told this area is problematic for laser/IPL back when I was 23 because it might cause the hair to grow darker and thicker. I want to get rid of it. What options do I have? Thank you.
since I started waxing&threading my upper lip it's darkened while developing into a shadowmoustachecan't go out without covering with tons of concealers.Last year I visited a clinic, they suggested microdermabrasion+using a lightening cream but that didnt help it looks even darker,I've been wearing 40Spf to protect from further damage.I've booked a consultation with a clinic&I've read on their website&everywhere else intense pulse light or fraxel laser might clear it up. will that work? Thanks
As a woman - my chin facial hair between ipl treatment can be shaved.. i dont see myself walking with the hairgrowth until the next session... some say wax between seetion and until the next time when the facialhair grow make your next ipl.. that makes the every 2-4 weeks session not on time... so wax or shave? thanks
