Two months ago I began to notice my skin looking very dry & old, which has led me to stop using a new makeup I'd purchased at that time that had alcohol denatured as a main ingredient. I now use retinol 2.5%, but my skin is getting worse. My question is, could the makeup cause this, will using a CeraVE niacinamide moisturizer fix it, and would an IPL photofacial help create fuller cheeks or smoother dermal layer in the forehead if it's not the moisture or the makeup that are the problem?
Last friday i went for my third ipl treatment. My skin today (wednesday) looks bumpy/rough. Is this a normal reaction? Or do i have to stop. I also have had 3 laser and 5 peeling treatments. But the last treatments was only ipl. On the photo you can see how my skin now looks. Because i have makeup you dont see the redness.
I had my third IPL treatment yesterday. This time my dark spots got darker and my skin has that coffee grind appearance. I'm freaked out! How long does it take to disappear? It looks like dead skin (it doesn't hurt at all). Can I wear make up? I've wearing sunscreen, moisturizer and aloe vera.
Hello everyone! So I recieved 2 laser treatments for this small bright red dot on my nose that made me like Rudolph. The first treatment didnt really seem to change anything. The second one, the spot looked completely white and I was so happy! However, it soon began flaking, and now is a dark brown color. This was four days ago. I'm very worried because the red was easy to cover up with makeup, but the color now is so dark that its very noticeable. Is this normal? Or really bad?
I have a white round scar that I got covered with 'permanent makeup'. I would like to use IPL laser to bring down the redness around the scar. Is it safe to use the laser around the scar, not directly on top? I'm afraid of the scar turning black from the iron oxide in the tattoo. Thank you!
