5 hours after my cheeks were very swollen. I have sensitive skin and tend to swell, but also had very severe indentations. Started at least 2x as deep as in this photo, taken 24 hrs after they appeared. There were 2 more horizontal and 1 vertical line. 1 side of my face was worse. Had numbing cream. Followed protocol in what not to do/use before. Procedure was also very painful, even with numbing cream. Pain tolerant. No issues with botox/fillers and pain. Done in office of a very reputable dr.
I went in yesterday for IPL to treat broken blood vessels. I was not prepared for the level of discoloration I'm seeing. Over the past 24 hours the darker parts have gotten darker and there is a small blister on my forehead. My skin feels sunburnt. Is this normal or is this a burn? Have I ruined my skin? I'll be contacting my provider on Monday morning. I'm reading some fantastic horror stories about IPL reactions so any help you can provide is appreciated.
I has IPL yesterday. My face is red and painful yesterday after the treatment but thr swelling seems excessive on my left side, especially under my eye. I'm on an antibotic for a sinus infection, could this have anything to do with the excessive swelling?
I had my third IPL treatment yesterday. This time my dark spots got darker and my skin has that coffee grind appearance. I'm freaked out! How long does it take to disappear? It looks like dead skin (it doesn't hurt at all). Can I wear make up? I've wearing sunscreen, moisturizer and aloe vera.
I was at the med spa (I know, first mistake), I was there for the 1540 Fractionated laser but the machine broke so they offered me a palomar ipl treatment for free. After, I left and immediately started reading reviews. Turns out it shouldn't be used on Asians or hispanics! I'm Hispanic! I have serious sun damage, I've got it all. Please tell me if my face is suppose to look like this 30 minutes after the session. And what I can expect to see and in how long. I'm freaking out.
I just got done one IPL treatment at a recommended laser office (the appointment was at 1130 and it is now 2)... she was amazing at giving info and everything went very smoothly. I have hyperpigmentation from acne scars, nothing major at all, I'm also 19 so keep that in mind! After having it done, I know or am aware there might be some side effects but oddly, I don't feel anything different and I'm thinking if I should be concerned or not?
I had IPL yesterday. I had some reddness that expected, but I also have lumpiness on my cheeks, almost looks like cystic acne? Mainly on the apples of my cheeks, although my cheekbones seen to have light lines going upward ? I sent a pic to the esthetician who check with the doc. He thought it was an allergic reaction and advised benedryl....I not sure I'm buying that and I am concerned...any thoughts ....advise....please ....thank you!
