My lower jaw is not perfectly aligned with my top jaw which causes my bottom teeth to not be perfectly aligned with my top teeth (my ortho. doctor said about 2mm). I’ve been using invisalign for about a month and a half now and was wondering if it would eventually realign my teeth and also therefore my jaw.

I’m not complaining, but I’m concerned Bc I have my tray in (#4), and it feels ‘fine,’ no pain etc. they do not feel loose. Does this mean they are not working for some reason?

Hi All, Just finished 32 trays. I started invisalign with minor cosmetic issues due to crowding on my bottom teeth. My top teeth (cosmetically) were fine, and two of my five consults actually recommended just leaving them and doing the bottom teeth. In any event, I opted for "full" (top and bottom) treatment after reading some testimonials about bite issues doing only top and/or bottom....

Please read this first if you are considering braces and in particular Invisalign because I had a really bad experience and the stuff that I am going to talk about is unlikely to be raised by your orthodontist when he/she explains the risks involved in your treatment. Having braces has serious consequences for the whole of your body not just your teeth. The reason for this is that your teeth...

After two days my tray felt ‘softer’ -almost like it melted a bit in my mouth. I have not used/drank any hot water or food with them in. I read somewhere that your body temp can make this effect. Is this normal?

I am currently on my 21st tray lowers, and two of my teeth have split (up and down) and was wondeting if anyone else had that complaint?  If so, let me know, thanks

Getting my Invisalign today.   I'm hoping, as an added bonus it will help me lose weight too!  Anyone lose weight?  How much have you lost?  Any tips?  Thanks!

Hi all, I have seen few people who finished treatment with Invisalign, and their teeth are still a little crooked. What are your experiences about results from Invisalign?

No one has mentioned yet how incredibly inconvenient it is to eat out with Invisalign. If I had known about this in advance, I would not have gotten them--just based on this. First off, I have to bring 1) a toothbrush, 2) toothpaste, 3) the case, 4) wax, and 5) Scope breath strips everywhere I go. Here is the process: I get to a restaurant, sit down and order my meal. I then excuse myself and...

In our Invisalign community many people look back on their experiences and say, 'I wish I had known...' some information before having the treatment. Here are 18 of the top tips from RealSelf members and medical practices that you may find helpful. 1. You can still kiss. A big concern in our community is how Invisalign may affect romance. Answers vary. Some...

I'm on day 4 of my first tray...or the "training tray" as my ortho called it.  My teeth are uncomfortable, which I understand and can deal with.  What I am having a hard time dealing with is the sharp edges.  The front bottom has created a sore on my inner bottom lip, I have cutouts for elastic :(  that is cutting up the inside of my upper lip.  The edges on the...

Has anyone with some crown teeth had success with the Invisalign attachment placed on their crown tooth without it falling off?? Because I have 1 crown tooth and my dentist needs to put an attachment on that tooth in order for my teeth to shift for the smile I want but he tried to put the attachment on 7 times and it wouldn’t stick. So I just want to know if there’s anyone who had an att...

Hi all, I'm so glad I found this community! I am 3 days into my 1st of 22 trays and I'm having a few issues. The first and most annoying is the excess saliva - I feel like I (and I know this is gross) I have to constantly suck the saliva out of my aligners! And if I talk more than a few words, I get a spit bubble and spew saliva all over the place. Not to mention the lisping that comes along...

I would love to know why the edges are not smoother. I feel this represents the product. I have 2 canker sores on the inside of my lower lip. I feel this is a quality control issue that should be looked into by the company. Why must we whittle away at our trays with a nail file when we paid $5,000 for a finished product. It should be called an UNfinished product and come with some sand paper....

Dentist recommended ortho work due to overbite that was putting pressure on top front teeth. She said I'd develop problems with fractures down the line and to see the ortho in her practice. I've always had an overbite (40 years old) and my top and bottom teeth both slope inwards but I've got used to the cosmetic look and wasn't too bothered. I decided to go-ahead with treatment upon...

I'm sure the struggles of this woman are all too familiar for most Invisalign wearers. What ways have you found to get them out more quickly or more discreetly?

Received this quote yesterday from a "VIP: Diamond Plus" provider. It's supposed to include refinements, retainers, etc. Is that a fair price? It's the only quote I've gotten so far so may shop around a bit. Thanks!

Hello! I've been interested in Invisalign for quite some time now. I've asked my dentist about it and she quoted me around $2.7K - $3.5K. She said I would most likely be an express case. I'm mostly worried about the gap in my front and the crowding at the bottom. Does anyone have an idea of what my case would cost?

If that is the case, what are the symptoms and how can I avoid this happening to my other teeth?
