I have a gummy smile and would like to get Invisalign for my top and bottom teeth. I'm just not sure which procedure to have first? Should I follow up with a dental provider to have a gum reduction before I get Invisalign or does the order of procedures not matter? I also had a an Invisalign consultation a few years ago and was told I was a good candidate. I just never followed through because of the costs.
I had braces before Invisalign 6 years ago, and after that orthodontic procedure, I had no black triangles and none before Invisalign either. Is it possible my gums haven't caught up yet with my teeth movement and will fill in the black triangle eventually?
My Invisalign slightly pops up on my back molar tooth and I just got it today. Could this be a gum problem or something. Even if I try to push it down or hold it down with my teeth, it still pops up on that one tooth. What could be the cause of the problem and how can I fix it?
I've never had orthodontics, and I'm supposed to start Invisalign but I'm extremely worried about my gum line on the bottom front teeth. I have thin gingiva, will Invisalign make my gums recede? My gum line hasn't moved (I take a lot of pictures) but it's extremely low and I cannot relax I am so worried about it.
I'm a 22 y/o male on tray 26/45 of invisalign. Unfortunately, large black triangles/food traps have appeared. I knew of the risk, as I had some slight gum recession beforehand, but these are way worse than expected. I'm afraid they are causing irreversible damage. Hopefully the photos illustrate my concerns. It's hard to tell, but my central and lateral top incisors literally don't touch. My bottom left canine and lateral incisor also have 0 contact right now. Thank you all.
My gums are sensitive and I noticed they bleed when I floss and they also look a bit swollen. To add, i use Invisalign retainers. I went to a dentist and he recommended the Arestin treatment. The gums do not look severe however it is a bother. Is there another alternative to the Arestin? I find this treatment too pricey for my condition. Should I look for another dentist for a second opinion? Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.
I am on my second tray and one part on my front tooth tray is is not flush with my gum at the top. Is this normal or should I contact my orthodontist? It is right against all of my other teeth, but the top of my front tooth tray seems to not be touching the gum. My lip sometimes catches on. Picture provided.
