I have a fear of the dentist which is why I havent been - bad I know - but now Im afraid after so long if I have them removed there will be a lot of damage. What should I do?
Hi, I finished my full Invisalign treatment about a year ago. I have been using my retainer every night without fail.Maybe 6 months ago, I noticed that there was a gap between my front two teeth before I went to bed. The next morning they were back in perfect position. Since then I realized that my teeth are shifting through the course of the day, and only stay in place for a few hours after taking the retainer off.Is this considered a failure of treatment? Do I need new retainers? Are there sequential retainers I missed out on?The worst part is that I no longer have dental insurance. Should any re-treatment be covered by my original treatment, since I paid the big bucks for the full course?
My doctor failed to remove my buttons on the last two sets which were made for use without buttons. I had lots of pain and changes in my bit as a consequence - apparently my teeth got pushed up during this process. The Doctor removed the buttons and wants me to wear the last set for 6 weeks to let the teeth settle back and come back down. I am wondering if that set should be replaced so it is true. Wondering how wearing the liners with buttons where there is no accommodation for such might impact the plastic or if the plastic is strong enough to withstand 336+ hours of wear with interference and no deformation.
I started Invisalign over a year ago, and now after the 16+ months and 1 refinement, the Dentist came back to me and said that the results I want (2mm intrustion) are not obtainable from Invisalign. What? I went back into the office to get additinal impressions for a 2nd refinement. Then after 2 months of not hearing my dentist she finally called and said that a 2mm intrusion is not possible with Invisalign. Can I get a refund? I feel like I shoudn't have been a candidate in the 1st place.
If both my invislign treatment ($4,000) and tmj treatment ($2,500) fails? I have been 3 months into my invislign treatment and i have yet to see even the slightest results. I also still have significant tmj pain. Is it possible to get most if not all my money back if these treatment fails, i mean my orthodontist highly assured me that these treatments would fix my tmj problem and i feel i have been taking advantage. I am paying a heavy amount of money for results.
