I have some missing molars. Im 38. I have one missing tooth on each side at bottom awaiting to remove another that had a crown that fell off. They couldnt repair it. My smile is crooked. My teeth are kinda more on one side due to my misalignment. My jaw clicks. But CT said TMJ unremarkable meaning none. Since my jaw started clicking years ago my teeth began to shift. Can Invisalign correct all this? My crooked smile? And misalignment? I also dont mind getting implants too.
Before starting Invisalign treatment I have always had a clicking jaw, so when I need to open my mouth wide it clicks. My aligners are not causing any jaw pain however i'm on my 4th tray and i'm beginning to have lockjaw most days where i cannot click my jaw to open my mouth wide and it wont open wider than about 2 fingers width. It doesn't hurt/bother me, but will it go away once i have finished treatment, or am l gonna be stuck with not being able to open my mouth wide for the rest of my life?
I am on month 7 of my Invisalign Treatment and I have just been introduced to elastics to correct my over bite, but now my jaw clicks when I eat and chew. I had a little bit of a clicking jaw when I was young, but it stopped by the time I was 7 or so (I am now 19) Will this correct its self through the treatment or will I something have to change in order for it to stop?
I have had invisalign since May 2016 but I have not seen any results in regards to my overbite. There are less spaces in my teeth. My orthodontist switched me to invisalign g5 because of the overbite (only due to my request). Still no results. Also my jaw clicks a lot when I eat, yawn or open my mouth. It is painful and people hear it when it clicks. Is that normal?
I have just started invisalign a week ago and I am still on my first tray. About 3 days ago, I have been noticing my jaw click when I chew or open my mouth real wide. So far, I don't have any pain but I am really worried that it would get worse as I progress with my treatment. I am not sure if this jaw click is temporary effect due to change in my resting jaw position (w/ plastic tray between my teeth) or something I should really be worried about. Can invisalign cause permanent jaw click?
