I am currently on week 23 of Invisalign trays, and I got them hoping to relieve some a TMJ jaw pains and headaches, but also to fix my bite and my facial structure. I dont think the Invisalign has made a difference in my weak jaw and chin, and if so its much less of a change than I was hoping for. I was wondering what would be the best solution to get a more even, defined jawline.
Hi, my dentist said Invisalign would be able to fix my underbite. He said that the bottom teeth will be bended backward to let the top teeth bite over it. Before making a decision I would like to understand a bit more and get different opinions. Would Invisalign fix the frowned lip I have whenever I bit my teeth all the way? And would it fix the side profile where the lower chin and lip is over upper lip? What are the side effects i may have from Invisalign? I would like to avoid surgery.
When I was 15 I was told I'd need lower jaw surgery, chin shaving, two upper incisors extracted and wear braces for two years. None of this occurred - I am extremely happy about this now. I will be seeing two orthodontists this month and I've done some research - looking at my teeth/mouth I'm guessing I will need a palate expander or rather I'm hoping. I absolutely refuse to have surgery or long term braces. What kind of treatment do you think I will require? How long do you estimate?
My face has grown vertically dramatically in the last few months, my teeth are crooked but I was still extremely attractive until this point. Friends notice no difference but I can see it clearly! My teeth have narrowed dramatically now that I look at them and my cheeks have sunk, as have my eyes and my chin is very long now. I was supposed to start invisalign some time ago, is it too late now to fix the damage? Im 21
