Hi Im 28 years old and have a fairly big sized forehead, I have tried Finasteride and have gotten side effects. I havent used anything else for awhile. My dad is 50 and is probably a NW2.5-3. I want to just thicken my current hairline and bring it down a tad, but I am curious how it will hold up in the long run. How many grafts do you think I would need and would I be okay without Finasteride? Thanks!
Hello Doctors contributing to these posts, it is much appreciated! I recently done my 2nd FUT procedure at a Vancouver clinic,( The 1st transplant yielded excellent results ) Just Curious , i understand the scalp has suffered a great trauma and will take months to fully recover, my Question - When the healthy previously transplanted hairs begin to grow back after a few weeks is it common that they are weaker and of less density for the first few months, then will thicken again??? Regards
I am at 1 year after FUT 3500 grafts. 80% of the transplanted hair have come. 50% have thickened and grew long & 30% of them are still looking like baby hairs. They are growing slow. Hope in next 3-4 months they will thicken. I am seeing some hair fall (30-50 hairs). I also see some of the transplanted hair falling out after growing long (and some baby hairs, which came up). I am not taking finasteride. Is this hair fall of transplanted grafts normal, and i believe its part of normal cycle?
I had a hair transplant 2 months a go on the front of my head and middle, but not the crown and I was going to use a product called Herbal H which has 3% minoxidil just for my crown to thicken it, but my hair surgeon told me not to use minoxidil for one year, any reasons why I would like to hear other doctors opinions on this. Thanks.
Id like thick hair especially on the top of my head. I dont necessarily have super thin hair, but it isnt very thick. Im a female and Im wondering what could be done to get thicker hair? Ive heard of hair transplants and laser procedures should I do both? None? Are there other procedures out there? Whats the general cost if so? Thank you.
