Hi, I am a 38 year old female that has a receding hairline - the upper left and right corners are going farther back into my scalp. I also have difficulty growing my hair out.I do not like how this makes my face shape look and I'm worried about how far these peaks will recede. I am interested in learning about how to correct this so my hairline is more even, creating more symmetry for my face. Please advise on the least invasive, most effective treatments to try. Thank you.
Due to having an eating disorder all my teenage years and only just finding out now (25) that I have anaemia and other deficiencies, my hair has started to become a lot thinner. If I get hair placed in thinner areas of my head, and around my hairline, will the hair from the donor site grow back at all? Will there be more hair after the transplant or will it still be exactly the same amount of hairs just relocated? If put my hair in a ponytail will it still only be as thick as it was before?
Had an FUT hair transplant a year ago. Loving the results on the sides but the crown area isn't as dense as I would like. Questions: 1. If I do a 2nd HT would I have to shave the recipient area? Worries about downtime/ cosmetics during healing. Hoping I can not shave recipient area and mask it with other hairs. 2. Can they even do a second FUT? How does that affect the previous scar? Would that thin out the hair in the back too much? 3. Is shock loss still an issue in 2nd HT?
Every doctor that Ive been going to has aaid that I have telogen effluvium. Ive had hair loss from accutane and anorexia. Although I see a lot of miniatured hair in the microscope that I bought. Is there a way any doctor over here could help me figure out what could be the issue ?
So basically I was born with a very high hairline and some baldness on the sides. I underwent hair transplant at the age of 16 with the hope that it will lower my forehead. The results look bad, I have empty patches and the hairline is too unnatural. I have to color spray my hair everyday in order to hide it and I hate it that my hairlines very masculine now. Should I go for a revision forehead reduction or is there anything else I can do? Thanks!
Hi doctors! I am thinking of having procedures that can have my forehead reducted but i can't think of anything else other than hair transplant. Am I a good candidate? If so, how many grafts (estimation) do i need in the area i marked? Anything else you suggest to make my forehead less wide?
Hello, All my life I've had a hairline where there is very thin hair close to baldness at my temple area similar to a males natural hairline. I was wondering if there are any treatment options for someone with naturally thin hair, to help thicken and increase the hair in those areas, and what those treatment options were. Just to be clear, I don't have a widow's peak just thin temple areas.
I have a wide forehead with the bones both sides near my hairline protruding noticeably. This combined with a receding hairline in my temples I think gives me a strong masculine look I'm not comfortable with. Maybe this could be disguised by filling in the receding hairline to the sides, but what other options beyond hair transplant are there? Including surgery and other non surgical options to look more feminine.
I am a female looking to fill in my hairline recessions with hair transplants. If I have the hair transplant procedure, how long should I wait before having another non related surgery involving general anesthesia? I have been told general anesthesia can cause temporary hair loss, could this affect newly transplanted hair?
