Cellfina Overview: Everything You Need to Know About the Cellulite Solution

What Is Cellfina?
Cellfina is an FDA-approved, minimally invasive procedure which treats the primary structural cause of cellulite. Cellulite is caused by connective bands woven throughout the underlying fat that pull the skin down and create dimpling. Cellfina technology treats cellulite by releasing these connective bands. Results are seen from just one treatment and last for at least a year.

How Does Cellfina Work?
A qualified physician will first inject a numbing solution to the treatment area, before introducing a small, needle-sized device just beneath the surface of the skin, which releases the cellulite-causing bands. Like a rubber band, the treated skin then bounces back and smooths itself out. The one-time procedure takes roughly 45 minutes to an hour, depending on the individual and the number of areas being treated.

What Results Can I Expect From Cellfina?
Results can be seen in as little as three days after treatment. After three months, 85% of patients reported being satisfied, while 94% were satisfied after one year. Cellfina surpasses patient satisfaction rates compared to other leading cellulite treatments.*

How Long Does It Last?
Results from Cellfina are clinically proven to last at least a year, making it the longest-lasting FDA-cleared treatment for cellulite.

What Are the Side Effects From Cellfina?
No serious side effects were reported during Cellfina clinical trials. The most commonly reported side effects were soreness, tenderness, and bruising, which resolved quickly with time. Three days following treatment, those who experienced these side effects rated their pain as minimal (average of 2.7 on a scale of 1 to 10), with 82% of them only feeling pain when pressure was applied to the treatment area. Over 90% of them had no bruising a month after the procedure.

How Much Does Cellfina Cost?
Cellfina can range in price from $3,000-$6,000, depending on the physician, location of the practice, and the number of cellulite dimples being treated. The treatment is personalized, so consulting with a doctor is the best way to get an accurate quote. Cellfina is currently offered by a select group of physicians across the country, but will become widely available in the U.S. throughout 2015.
