I am 5 weeks postOP FUE hair transplant. My hair wash routine consists of soaking a cloth in shampoo water and squeezing it over my head letting the water gently run down. My clinic said that it is now safe to shower normally/gently rub the transplant site to remove the dead skin. However, the moment I touch the follicles they fall out which I know is expected; 5-10% have fallen already. Is it truly safe to do this and should I expect/want ALL follicles to fall out? Or stick with my routine?
Hi I had FUE operation on 18 Aug and todays is 26 Aug, I want to know if the the operation day counts as post op day or not, so today is the nineth day or the eightth day? Tommorrow I have to get back to work but don't want to go office with scabs on my head, can I rub my recipient area to remove the scabs out or I should wait untill the tenth day and take the next 2 days off. Thanks
Im 17 days post FUT transplant. Scabs have all gone, donor scar is sealed up. If I was to wear a material surf hat with a chin strap in the ocean to protect from the sun would any rubbing from the movement of the hat material from the waves on the recipient area affect growth or graft direction? Doctor advised grafts were secure at day 5 and swimming and full exercise was ok at day 10 however question is really around the potential affect of the material rubbing? 1-2hrs a day tops.
Hi Doctors. Following my fue I was advised to very gently wash my hair 3 days after surgery then gradually increase the pressure everyday. However after my first wash I began to gently brush my head with my finger tips daily to remove a lot of loose scabs which began to fall out. I am now paranoid that I shouldn't have done this and lost some grafts although there was no bleeding. Was this ok to do? Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks
Hello, I had a FUE transplant 8 days ago. Today I was wearing a loosely fitting baseball cap. A friend came to me, unaware of my transplant, and tapped me firmly and also rubbed my head (still wearing cap). I immediately made him aware of the situation. Anyway, I check the area about 10 minutes late, no sign of blood, just a slight tingle on my scalp. I am now worried that he may of dislodged or damaged the crafts. Any thoughts? Thank you.
Hello. I am at 5th day post fue op, i have scabs and crust all over wanted to know how to wash and get the crusts and scabs out soon, i am using baby sampoo i just mix som sampoo with water and spray all over the planted area and then wash it off by spraying tap water, it gets cleaned and grafts are not disturbed physically, but its not helping scabs and crust to fall off, very scared to touch and disturb them.
On the 2nd night after FUE, I had way more antiseptic ointment on my donor area than I realized. It was making it hard for me to sleep. So I wiped it off using a dry tissue and then 3 damp tissues. Could this lead any knock on effect or abrasion?
