I had a 5000 ht about 6 months ago and I have been dealing with scratching since month 3. I have been scratching severely at times and would like to know if the damaged hair will grow back healthy if the scratching stops and the scalp heals. Should I shave it all off and wait for the regrowth ? I feel like the parts where I scratch have lost thickness and even hairs fell out and also the color changed. What should I do to fix this issue ? Please help as i am worried.
I will keep this short I had my FUE transplant on the 16th of jan I went in the day after for the follow up by the doctor today I washed my hair for the first time, applied lotion for 35-40 mins than applied shampoo mixed with water in a bottle. To ease the drying I gently patted my hair with a towel is this the right process as I've read mixed opinions. I'm just worried I don't knock the grafts out! Thank you
On 6th days post my FUE surgery, I was massaging my dry scalp in circular motion slowly with my finger tips. I found out that the crisp & probably scabs were falling out of scalp. I continued this for the next day too in order to get rid of scab ASAP. On next day I noticed that HAIR were embedded in those scabs/crust. I have read that 10 days post surgery grafts are fixed in scalp and shampooing was allowed to remove scabs for first 2 weeks. Have i done wrong? Tell me what to expect & do now :(
I'm day 6 after FUE (3700 grafts) and I see that if i gently pass my hand (on dry hair), applying mild pressure, some scabs start to fall. Is this bad? Can it have a non desired effect? There is a lot of information and consensus on how to treat the transplanted area, starting to rub off the scabs after 9-10 days. My question is around the donor area, as I couldn't find mucha about it on this topic. Thanks
Good evening Drs. it's been 40 days of my fue hair transplantation and everything is going good so far , but my scalp is dry and there is a dandruff (a normal dandruff, not too much,) and i'm still using baby shampoo. My question is: can i use hair conditioner to get rid of dandruff ? Im plannig to use Chi Argan Oil Plus Moringa Oil Conditioner - Paraben Free please check the ingredients ?? (check the photo please) Is there any ingredient can harm my new hair ?
I had FUE 20 days ago. My donor and recipient areas are quite red and dry, but not infected. What should I apply to these areas to help continue to heal as quickly as possible. The recipient area still has one last (small) scab yet to completely dry up and flake away. As prescribed by my surgeon I used Bepanthol cream for the first 10 days before washing with baby shampoo. Ive heard some people swear by aloe Vera on their recipient/donor areas to help the healing process. Any suggestions?
Hello, I am 2 weeks after FUE hair transplantation and I would like to ask how should I dry my hair after shower? What is the best way? I would like to mention I have still some scabs and pieces of skin on recipient area. In the first two weeks I have let hair dry naturally without any towel or hairdryer. I would like to ask what should I do next? Should I dry hair after shower still naturally or gently with towel or some paper tissue or with hairdryer? Thank you very much for your answers.
Been 3 weeks post surgery donor area is still a bit pink and dry... it's not itchy or sore 2 weeks was when I first noticed this spoke to the surgeon who performed my procedure and he advised I think as a precaution to prevent an infection to get antiobiotics called flucloxacillin and a steroid cream called fusidic acid been on this a week now and coming to an end I've attached 3 photos 2 of from when I first noticed it at 2 weeks and the 3rd was taken this morning... does everything look normal?
