It has been over 3 months since getting a black eye. Will a laser get rid of the residual black eye? It seems to be permanent. If so, what type of laser and at what setting? Or is this only fixable with surgery? I do not burn easily. I get dark when I tan.
Hello everyone, I had Fraxel Dual 1927 for pigmentation yesterday. The doctor used Energy:5 on my cheeks, eyes and nose... and Energy: 10 on my forehead, Treatment Level:3, Passes: 8. I wanted to go with higher energy:20 on my face, but she said there was no need for it because my skin already looked very good, and was just doing it to even out the skin tone. Attaching several photos, for your review to recommend correct settings for this skin tone.
I've done the Fraxel Dual twice with 1927 setting. Im happy with the results. And Im also now experienced with the recovery involved. However, now I'm about to start a series of two treatments with the 1550 setting. I know that the wavelength goes deeper into the skin. But what I'd really like to know is: 1) how does the recovery differ from 1927? 2) how do the results differ from 1927? I have no acne scarring & only light wrinkling so curious whether doing the 1550 treatments are worth it.
I have melasma and had fraxel under the melasma setting. Excellent results. The melasma did come back and another expert told me I had pigmentation, therefore had fraxel under the pigmentation setting. Red, itchy skin as a result, not good at all. Why do different fraxel settings give excellent or bad results?
Hello, Doctor: I just finished 1 treatment for fraxel 1550 on 70mj and 23% 2 days ago to treat my acne scar and i am going to do fraxel dual after 4 weeks. I know that the highest setting for 1927 is 20mj and 30%. My question is that is it ok to put 1550 setting on 70mj, 23%, 4 passes and 1927 on 20mj, 30%, 4 passes at same time for my fraxel dual treatment for maximum result? If not, what is the typical setting then? Kind Regards Tom
I have just receive my first Fraxel treatment today. I am 22 years old, and I am an Asian male with darker skin. I have asked my doctor if she can use higher settings, but she recommended that I start at 30 mj and see how my skin reacts. Is it enough for my acne scars? My doctor said that my scars are not that bad,but I have heard that acne scars need to be treated at higher settings like 50 mj and up. Thank you for any response or feedback!
I just went to see 2 board-certified dermatologists about a Fraxel Restore treatment and I was amazed at the difference between the settings they each recommended for the same facial problem. Since after all it's our money that's spent, I'd like to know what the basic variables that can be changed on this machine and what they mean in terms of treatment intensity.
