A week after my laser, my skin inflamed and my doctor advised an oral anti-inflammatory medication and a topical corticosteroid. The first day I applied the corticosteroid every 2 hours, and for a week later I applied it twice a day till the redness reduced and I stopped. Now it's been a month, the redness + brown discolouration are still there, and she advised me to put a whitening cream. She's also accusing my exposure to the laptop for my 'prolonged erythema', though I always apply sunscreen.
I had non-ablative fractional laser done on my abdomen for stretch marks about a week ago. Initially it was red and inflamed, then about 3 days later it was no longer inflamed but it turned into tiny dark pinpoints all over. The area is still a little sore, so it is clearly still healing. I just want to make sure this is a normal part of the recovery and that these matrix-like dots will fade, because I assumed there was no downtime. They do feel rough, so perhaps they are tiny dots of scabs.
I'm wondering when the grid/track marks on my face will ever go away. I recently saw the dermatologist who did the procedure and he said that it's pigmented marks and that they will fade. However, I also had an increase in breakouts after he treated the area, and hyperpigmentation from scarring as a result. Is there a way that either of these issues can be resolved, or is the hyperpigmentation and bronzing/grid marks/dots/tracks permanent? If so, what are some available treatments to resolve it?
Its been 3 years now scince i had fractional laser and i still have the grid pattern punched in my skin and also white thickened skin in wierd patterns which i believe is scar tissue from the laser through being treated too aggressively. Had 6 needling treatments which has improved it but its not completley gone what can i do
