Wearing a respirator
- Last updated: 8 months ago
I've had a permanent bridge from eyetooth to eyetooth for the past 17 years. 6 days ago, I had my eyeteeth extracted, bone grafting, and implants placed buried in my gums ( no abutment, that'll come later). The healing is going as expected, I think. I'm wearing a flipper to fill the gap until the abutments and new permanent bridge are installed. I took 3 days off work after the procedure and now that I'm back, I'm wondering how wise it is to be working while wearing a respirator. ( I'm a welder and the respirator is a job requirement). It has to seal to my face so that I'm not breathing in heavy metal particles while working and it's putting pressure directly over the site where the bone graft and implants were placed and it's a little uncomfortable. Am I damaging my graft and implants? Should I take more time off work?
