I am still unable to wear my regular clothes four weeks after abdominoplasty. Is this normal or should I be concerned?
I am 46 years old. I have four kids, all delivered vaginally (between 1999 and 2007). I am 5'4" with a very short torso and preoperatively I weighed 130lbs (10 pounds heavier than my happy, before kids weight). I had a full abdominoplasty with diastasis recti repair four and a half weeks ago. Every morning I wake up swollen and every night I go to bed even more swollen. I have been wearing my compression garment all day, every day since my surgery and yet I am still unable to put on my regular pants. I'm tired of sweatpants and I'm beginning to think that I was better off before. Is this normal?
