Tweezing scars/discoloration and overall darkness and red scarring from electrolysis?
- Last updated: 3 years ago
Hi guys, I had an issue with hair on my chin when I was younger. I since had it all removed with electrolysis many many years ago and have been hair-free (with the exception of an occasional hair or two requiring electrolysis maintenance maybe once a year). Anyway, I think I am left with what is residual tweezing scars from all the times of tweezing before I had electrolysis and also some scar tissue from aggressive eletrolysis. Anyway, there is some pebbling of skin, wrinkling, indents, and overall discoloration in the area of my chin which makes my chin stand out as an overall different color from the rest of my face! So annoying and frustrating to say the least. Anyway, I have some pictures. I have a consultation with a board-certified dermatologist on Saturday (have had consultations with others before but haven't gotten the best advice yet, so I continue to keep trying). Anyway, she uses all kinds of laser, does chemical peels, etc, the whole nine. She got great reviews. I guess my question is will any type of laser help me with this issue? If so, would it be laser resurfacing? And then if so, what type/degree of laser does it look like I need? Ablative vs. non?
