In reading multiple posts, I have learned that doctors have different opinions as to how to address the removal of fat transfer (FT) from the face. Some recommend liposuction, others cortisone/steroid injections, some go as far as stating surgery is required to correct the problem. Lately, I've been reading posts from actual women who tried different approaches with mixed results. The approaches range from acupuncture, 5FU (still learning more about this one), cortisone/steroid injections, to other treatments. Although I'm very early in my recovery at only 6 weeks post op, I am very anxious because my face looks so distorted from my cheeks being overfilled and one side looking different than the other. Every day of these last 6 weeks, I regret the decision to have the FT. Had I known that the recovery takes months, I would not have opted for this procedure. If you have had success--even if it is minimal--with any methods, please share with others like me who are trying to educate themselves on how to remove FT from face without causing other negative side effects.Thank you.
